Nice work Bill! This video all by its self is priceless. The info and demonstration of how all the side stainless and glass comes apart and goes together….Bill, you knocked it out of the ballpark! I cannot thank enough for sharing this. Too bad you didn’t “put new windshield wiper blades on” before pulling out the “busted windshield”, I think you know where I’m going with this 😂
The big wave of initial views are always those that are watching for entertainment, but there are a smaller group of people that watch them at first or find them later that are doing exactly that! And that's why I'm publishing them!
Thanks for the step by step instructions.this will definitely help future Folks.i just finished doing the exact same steps on my 57 yesterday. unfortunately I scraped a little clear coat when installing my outer lower window trim. I'm finally now on to interior.
This was the most intricate and time consuming part of my build. I always wondered how they did this on an assembly line. Mine was harder because I was adding all this BelAir trim to my 210. It was worth it though.
I don’t have a TRI5 or a Chevy but it’s motivating for me to get my 66 Fairlane convertible back on the road. My hope is to one day soon strip it down and do a 100% restoration like this. I will be happy and sad at the same time once you’re done with the car. I look forward to your videos.
A lot of what I'm doing is applicable to any car from the 50s or 60s. Part numbers may be different, or where the bolts are, but otherwise, they were all made very similarly.
The benefit of having a 150 model ... no chrome ... I'm glueing my back windows in ... made power windows for the front ... lookin good ... clock's runnin ...
Wow! I need help with my vent windows, 55 chevy bel-air. They are frozen (won't move). I used channel locks on the spindle, did not help. They moved a little. Is it possible you can give me a suggestion?
I rebuilt these in Episode 119: th-cam.com/video/72WfLgCuJXo/w-d-xo.html That might help you figure out what's got yours stuck. But there is only the regulator that turns them, so if it's not rotating, then its the regulator that's jammed. I don't think it's possible to get them stuck in the pivots. They sell replacements and it's an easy swap once you get your door panel off.
This is exactly the kind of instructional that helps the rest of us get through our projects. Thanks!
Thanks! You know, it's also not the kind of thing that I feel comfortable doing in a short form video. Sorry, but I'm showing things full length.

It is so easy to nick the finish, no matter how careful. Christine has beauty marks all over that I need to touch up.
Fantastic really enjoyed
Many thanks!
Changing the rotted out passenger door and moving all the guts over!

What I liked about it is it seemed to cut my parts pile in half! LOL!
Great Video!!
Thanks!
There you go!!!

I'm thinking you are going to add the "A" pillar while doing the windshield install.
Add to it? I did add some width to the bottom corner flange of the passenger's side.
It was in bad shape! But it was Worth rebuilding
When I see any of the old videos, I just shake my head!

Aren't the A and B pillars supposed to be white?
Yes. But they were red when I bought the car 20 years ago. There are a number of things that made Christine unique, and this is one that I stuck with.
@@RestoringChristine1956Gotcha… Great videos man.
