I'm an INTJ and I work in sales. What the video states is only true for a futile product. But if the INTJ really believes in the product, it's the complete opposite. It's a pleasure to balance analytical and persuasion skills. Introverts are actually good salespeople; they know how to listen to the customer, and that's key for sales.

The best role for an INTJ is to be rich; then you can hire lesser personalities to work for you.

INTJ here. I think the description of "teacher" is vague. From what I understand, you are referring to a public school teacher which I understand could be challenging for an INTJ especially if it involves more social situations. However, higher academia such as a college professor or associate professor especially if it is research-oriented could be quite the opposite experience for the INTJ imo.

Absolutely right. I’m a lawyer but before pursuing that path I very much considered a career in academia, specifically Sociology, the study of group behavior and dynamics. My analytical sills and perception of the non-obvious served me well in that capacity, and sharing expertise with adults in a mentor/mentee relationship is very rewarding for an INTJ. The video should clarify that INTJ’s are not well suited to out of control classrooms of crying and discontented children - teaching adults is an entirely different story.

As an INTJ and social worker, I understand this kind of problem. The solution is be patience with people, not everyone have the same speed to find solution of their problem. Yet I have to make them think that if they have problem, then they have to find their own solution, which one is suitable for them and more importantly the result, the good result of course.

I am an INTJ and an instructor. However I think it works because I teach in the IT field of Cybersecurity so we are all introverts and the field takes a lot of work. LOL

As an INTJ that was career military, a tech school teacher, and a police officer for a 5 years, I agree that as an introvert I had to develop coping mechanisms when dealing with people for long periods. However, the part about having issues with rules, laws, and enforcement is not accurate. If those types of structure are logical and beneficial, supporting them and living with them is no problem. It is only when they are illogical, or detrimental to progress and the freedom I need to do my job, or advance the plans I've made to meet my life goals that they and I are incompatible and that has been extremely rare.

As an INTJ, I've been in the military for 10 years and it's been a great fit for me so far. I 'm drawn to structured systems that maintain order and discipline, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling lol. Innovation is very encouraged in my branch of the military, so there is plenty of room to improve things. I'm a lot happier now that I've become an SNCO, I think it fits my INTJ personality a lot better than being low ranking.

I'm an INTJ and I'm in a role that supports law enforcement, more over, corrections/prisons. I assist law enforcement officers but I do not do their tasks and goals. So INTJ can find role within law enforcement, but you need to think about what other attributes you bring, such as assertiveness.

I am INTJ and I am a preschool teacher.... I guess I am in the wrong profession!! Hahaha, I do notice I have to make an effort to be sweet with the kids, I like them and can have all the patience in the world, be funny or whatever but I feel it's like a character I play and being sweet with them doesn't come naturally to me, but the kids do seem to like me, they sometimes hug me and such, but I do have the reputation among other teachers to not like hugs or skinship for some reason

INTJs acquire skills, and strive for authenticity. Since you genuinely like the children, you acquired the skills necessary to teach them. Children are intuitive, and perceive that you like them, regardless of not being "touchy-feely". I am very introverted and considered unsociable by adults, but young children and animals have always been drawn to me (which actually used to surprise me). They are responding to your kindness.

That's awesome. I've been interested myself in behavioral health as well. A little different than being a teacher to children but something Ik I would love to do.

Am I the only INTJ who loves teaching carries? because what I like being a professor is that I can developed my communication skills and ideas, specially guiding the students to their path. But in the end of the class I value my me time.

Too much engaging yes can be overwhelming sometimes to me as well such as being on the phone all day long & doing nothing else but phone work.

I disagree already. I'm extremely interested & have always wanted to advance my career into the medical field. I stray from sales & marketing. I am also an introvert. However, being on the phone all day long is something I'm trying to avoid. I definitely can feel burnout eventually.
