  • In this video, I’ll be teaching you how to make a DIY desk shelf for your monitor using reclaimed wood, some plywood, and very basic power tools. Aside from being eco-friendly, this is a fun project that might help spark some ideas about your office organization! This desk shelf is a fun way to sort your devices and give your home a modern look simultaneously. The reclaimed wood gives the desk stand a unique look, the felt pads allow you to safely store your electronics, and the entire piece serves as a DIY monitor riser!

wow, what a great video. I have some left over flooring from a stair project and was thinking of how to re-use it. Thank you!

Hahaha, thanks man! I really had fun toying with some of the transitions.
Thanks a ton for watching!!! Wood glue is insane!!! Before I started woodworking, my friend had told me it's super strong, and I was a little skeptical, but I definitely believe in it now!

Nice idea to use flooring and attach it to a thin backer.

Thanks! Two years in use and it's still running strong! The wood glue does all the work.

I wonder have you lightly sand the surface between coat?
Cause I saw some of the project does this way to give surface perfectly smooth touch

You're definitely right! I've never had any trouble without sanding between coats. But I do know that a lot of people prefer to do so. 🙂
