Hello everyone, my name is Orlando Gallegos and I like to make things! Most of what you'll see me make on this channel pertains to woodworking, however, I am always exploring new ways to create anything that comes to mind.
As the branding (Making Made Simple) on this channel suggests, the goal is to break down every project in a way simple way so that you can follow along. Remember, I make mistakes so you don't have to! I try to post once a week, so feel free to subscribe to stay tuned into my future projects!

Restoring Used Furniture. Is It Worth It?
You used 3 power tools 😅
That's true! But I did give disclaimers during the video. The only tool necessary was the circular saw. 1. The sander - I mentioned you can hand sand with sandpaper. I used a sander to save time. 2. The drill - I mentioned that shelf could sit there with wood glue, but I chose to use screws. Without being weight-bearing, either option works. Another option is to just leave that back shelf out entirely, if this will be against the wall
This is very nice, good job 🙂
Thank you ♥️
did Kreg steal your design or did you steal theirs?
I saw a pic of this one online, but I don't think it was on their site or page at the time. Not sure which order it came in. I definitely didn't design this one though
the gift that doubles as a gag gift he can give someone else next year as well!
The gift that keeps on giving, haha
Next year, it needs to be the real thing. 😉
Next time 😉
🎅👍 Merry Christmas 🎅👍
Likewise!!! 🎅🏽
Very informative and well done my friend. Keep up the great work and what a beautiful Christmas gift 🟥
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!!
I hate these titles and thumbnails!
TH-cam's a complicated space. Unfortunately, if there's nothing attention-grabbing in the thumbnail, videos often don't get seen, even if the content is informative and well-put together. The thumbnail is a little extreme, but I do believe the title delivers on its presumptions
@MakingMadeSimple You are right. Great video.
Thanks for understanding, and thanks a ton for watching!
Great video! 😊
Thanks for watching! 😄
Good video, keep it up 👍🏼🟥
Loving the red square! Thanks for watching!!!
Thank You 😊
Thank you for watching!
Hello there, just curious. Why there's no carpentry joints or grooves inbetween the pieces of wood but just glue to stick them together? Is this durable for long time? Wont they come off. Thanks in advance
Thanks for asking! When it comes to cutting boards, wood glue provides adequate strength for years to come. No need for grooves or anything fancy because the wood glue is enough to hold it together. You just gotta use the right stuff. That being water-resistant glue that's also food-safe 👍🏼
I have the DeWalt table saw, but you are absolutely correct. Sometimes I just don't feel like setting it up just for a couple of short straight cuts. I made a zero clearance jig that works just fine. Keep these great videos coming.
Exactly!!! In my case, I sometimes have to move the far in order to access tools, appreciate the so the jigs and quick setups help a ton. Thanks a ton for watching, I appreciate the support!
@@MakingMadeSimple I subscribed and I am looking forward to your content. You have a very laid back style to your tutorials. You don't talk down to people or assume they know a ton about woodworking. Your channel will go far.
I really appreciate the kind words! It's always tricky to find a balance between over-explaining and under-explaining. I'm glad you've enjoyed the content so far!
Kregg sponsored CLICK BAIT!
Remember the part where I also showed how to make those cuts with a wooden board, and no other accessories? 🫶🏼
Might be click bait to you but I learned a few things
Super happy to hear that! Thanks for watching!
great video...thanks for sharing and have a great week
Thanks so much for watching! Means a ton, especially from a fellow TH-cam woodworker!
There are kerf cut calculators if you want to be able to plan about how long you will need fwiw.
That's actually a great point. I'll be sure to throw that in the description once I get back on the computer. Thanks!
Love your videos bro!! Keep it coming😎👍🏾
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support! 😎👍🏼
Wow those curved edges are amazing! Good job!!
Probably making another video on that soon, so stay tuned 😎
Loving these videos!!! Hope to see more with this next year coming🟥
Thanks for watching! 🟥🟥🟥
Hi thanks for the video, what did you use for the height of the circles? Thanks!
Those were about 3/4"! I do remember them looking a little tall, so I believe I sended them down a little beyond that, but not by much.
I've used a 2.4 length of aluminium found in a skip bin and it's perfect for the last 30 years and will keep being perfect without all this carry on
That works too!
Please ignore whoever said that ❤
No you are not suppose to cut that . There is a clear vertical blind repair tabs available on line
Kreg Best of the Best
Gotta love Kreg!
👍
It would be helpful if there were a few replacement parts that came with the package
I definitely agree. At least a couple of the little metal clips that are intended for repairs
WOW!!!! Great tutorial I’d love to see more content!!!
Thanks for watching! 😎
Fyi, wood glue, used properly, is stronger than wood.
Absolutely! I have a video demonstrating that exact point on my channel 🙌🏼
Amboyna would have looked wild. Cost prohibitive though.
I had to look that one up. Ouch 😭
Bro, even if it's interesting what you made there, and the explanation is informative, the background music makes me sleepy, and I cannot focus. Try next time another background "noise". Keep up with good work!
I might honestly just remove the music in the future! Still experimenting with this. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
I think the music is soothing and adds to the quality of the video, honestly whole thing has really great production quality
@@flowerchild1215 adds to the quality, but this TYPE of music makes me fall asleep (my wife said the same thing). So nothing wrong with the background music, I just mentioned the unexpected effect of it :)
Love!!! 😍
Glad you loved this one! ☺️
These are sick
Thanks for tuning in!!!
I’m sorry but that wood is clearly extremely weak, if you can break it that easily. Please do the test again, using hardwood.
It is hardwood. It broke easily because it was a small piece.
Very nice 😎👌🏾
Thanks for watching!!! 😎
Side grain for chopping boards? 🤢 Should be end grain!
Agreed! But edgegrain's a little easier to do for those who have limited tools
I ordered from TintZoom after I watched your video the other day , they took my money out of my account and gave me a order number , but never sent me a confirmation email or anything else , now when I try to login to my account on tint zoom is says I never made one ?? I’m just wondering if and how you ever got ahold of them because there numbers they have posted do not work nobody ever answers.
Did you ever get it?
Can I use it to cover the rust appearing in the dishwasher shelves , taken account high temperature ,humidity and cleaning stuff. 🙏🏻
I thought tinting the back glass window is not good for the Tesla? I’ve backs shattered for whatever reason.
I don't believe this to be the case for the back glass, I've only heard that about the roof. From my understanding, a lot of ceramic tints don't let the heat get past the tint. So if the glass roof is tinted, which gets hit directly by sunlight frequently, the heat goes through the glass and essentially gets trapped between the glass and the tint, causing it to shatter. I didn't tint my roof, so I have no clue whether it actually happens, but I've heard it can.
Genius
wow
I actually own a window tint shop for the past five years and honestly, you did great for your first time! Frameless windows are always some of the easiest to work on and definitely a great start to DIY. Regardless great job!👏
Thanks a ton, I really appreciate the kind words! I tried my best to do a lot of research before actually going for it. A couple years later and the tints are still good, so the process was worth it!
Lmaoo all jokes aside that’s some good work 🤙🏽🤙🏽
no, you cant say that, momentum grows with arm so the closer to the mount the greater the tension
Implications are great
Too many effects
Agreed! I was just trying something new, to see if it would get more views
million dollar question, was this your first time doing tint on a car ? you made that looked like you tint windows for a living.
Haha, it was my first time! I really appreciate that comment. I did a ton of research to try and get the best results possible. But the reality is, if the process looked super smooth, it's probably because the video's edited. With the edits, I get to choose which parts went modt smoothly and best demonstrate that part of the process. A lot of it is fast-forwarded haha
definitely NOT your 1st time.
I had practiced with small pieces over the window. But as for the actual car, first time for sure.
❤❤❤
What if it’s small surface area
If it's a small surface area, I'd imagine the strength would go down significantly. But then again, the actual mass of the wood would probably reduce the overall strength too
Ur supposed to flip them upside down and cut the whole on what was the bottom so you don’t lose length, also amazon sells metal clips for this purpose for cheap.
But then you have a hole at the bottom. It's a matter of picking which poison haha
