Love double stick tape! Quick tip, I've found that once I get a piece of the tape off the wood/template, I can use that piece to easily remove the other strips still attached to the wood/template. Works like a dream and saves time on the "roll up" maneuver haha

During the closing song my dog woke up, terrified, and looked at me, like, "WTF!!" But I had watched the ad, and actually LOLed, out loud, at your ad-inspired shenanigans. I also felt a surge of pulse at your hip thrust tutorial. And Rubio Monocoat is now part of my lexicon. I thus find myself a puppet to your wares. Dammit.

I must say, I have not laughed this hard for a while before seeing your intro. But the desk build is inspiring. We recently made two cherry desks for our office. They turned out great. They are more of traditional desks with barley twist legs. We enjoyed working on them. We made a four-part video on them on our channel but they flopped. Good to see your video is doing really well.

Not going to lie... when you left the front and back pieces/sections/frames standing alone on the workbench, I felt anxiety about them falling over.
But... I had some Bourbon, and suddenly, I just didn't care about that anymore.
This piece is looking great!!! I can't wait to see the finished piece.

You are so right; the roundover on all the frame pieces/sections/parts/wood/project (pick your favorite) was a game changer for the overall look!

When you placed that first template and marked it out, I'm thinking STOP, stop. I was reminded of Krenov's idea of using the grain direction to accentuate the curves/shapes of your design. Flipping the template over would have been a perfect match of "piece" shape and grain. Anyway, pardon my nit-picking. Great videos...

I might add when using the depth gauge (trenching) use a light hand as with most mitre saws I've used if you push hard you can go deeper than you mean to :)
