Carpenter's secret LoL .. Plz when you do that, don't forget to apply this in a ventilated area & wear a respiratory mask, it produces dangerous fumes! When applying to the MDF board. You will see smoke kinda fumes rising up, Kindly be careful and don't inhale... It's very dangerous.. Have fun building it but safety first. ☝🏻 And you are welcome brother 🤗
Just found this channel after searching on how to build one of these, great tutorial! Its very simple and easy to follow along with. Could you do a tutorial on how to make an ikea alex drawer but DIY?
Yesss this is soo easy.. I don't know why people buy those expensive shelves!! Damn easy and cheap to build.. I'm glad you liked it!! Thanks man!! I haven't made drawers yet.. but surely I will try.. it's no rocket science.. don't know why people don't try lol 😂 Again thanks man!!
Im a professional wood worker. Just buy the alex drawers. Youre not going to build them for much less than the cost ikea sells them for. If cheaper AT ALL. And if you need to ask for a tutorial, its not going to be anywhere close to an alex drawer. Ikea is cheap. Its hard to beat their prices. Usually when people build their own its not to save money. It usually costs FAR more. id be looking at a few hundred to build something similar. People build them for better quality to last a lifetime and to customize them Drawer hardware alone is expensive. For on alex type desk youre looking at 80-90 bucks. And just being honest. You probably do not have the tools nor skills to make friction slide drawers to avoid hardware.
@LEOKHAN no doubt. I love when people make stuff instead of buying. But if cost saving is the main goal. Esp for something like an Alex drawer. Making it won't save anything Most people would have Amazon etc something to order something similar for dirt cheap
i agree with you brother... even im using some Nightstands for that purpose!! lol but it's fun to make a replica if its not easily available to you. of course we can't beat Ikea for that goal. EDIT: don't forget to check my (desk shelf) that's grovemade inspired, it cost my nothing but a little time. don't know why people pay such a hefty price for that..
Very interesting channel! You seem to be the everyday guy showing other everyday guys how to do a project, fancy workshop not needed. I call you sock guy since you always without your shoes. Thanks for the vids. Keep em coming!
Thanks Brother!!! Yess I am an Average everyday realistic guy ✌🏼 that was the purpose of this channel that you don't have to have a full workshop to build such simple products.. & must use household tools so everyone can relate and build something. Thank you brother I appreciate your comment.. and for the sock 😂 I can add flip flops if u want 🤣
You are welcome brother!! 🤗 Sorry about the late reply.. Go for it brother MDF are very easy to use material. As u can see I used only simple tools nothing fancy 😂

some regions doesn't have IKEA stores available, then we have to improvise ...

Rounding and sanding the corners of a plywood would work just like in this video?
Absolutely brother! That's what I've shown it.. it's very easy by sanding it with a 120 grit paper and medium hand pressure.
@@LEOKHAN Thank you so much! I ask since MDF and plywood are diff materials so I wasn't sure and don't wanna ruin it😅
You are welcome brother!! 🤗
