You can make your own base and it’s honestly so simple, just get a small amount of boiling water and fill your mug up about under a quarter then put 5 teaspoons of sugar in there mix it up then do 2 drops of vanilla extract you can put it in the fridge so it turns into a syrup or if your lazy like me put it in when its warm just make sure to add a bit more ice

Thank u for the great recipes! Just confused, 2 oz of espresso is 60ml but with the ratio of 21g, ur espresso should be 42g only with 1:2 ratio.. Some would say any extra amount will affect the taste of the coffee/espresso.. Any advice?thanks

Hello mum, is it OK if I use powder milk instead of milk syrup in this case. Secondly it looks like they are too thick too flow quickly through the straw just an assumption mum. Thank you so much.
I am not a fan of powdered milk but the taste will differ too. Frappe are meant to be icy. They are perfectly fine with a straw. Also there are straws specially for frappe. Slightly larger diameter :-) If you would like them more fluid, then it should be a shake rather than a frappe. Check out my book, The Basic Barista for the different recipes :-)
When you say 2 shot of espresso, does it mean I will do 18g twice in the machine? Not sure if it's just 18g of coffee then pulled in double shot button.

The ratio I use for iced coffee is more like the standard‘espresso’ now more commonly known as Lungo. You may use your preferred ratio or try both. 😊

Hello, you may use xanthan gum if you can find it. Otherwise, you may skip but as I have said, the taste and texture will not be as good :-)

No, 18-20g dose and 60g out. For iced coffee.
What beans roasting profile are you using this recipe ?
For these, I used a dark roast. Better with frappe drinks
