I'm also another one of the non-turners that absolutely loves the work that you do and again like several have said you never disappoint!!! I'm still going thru your older videos and I've seen one that people have said that watching your videos are relaxing, and I agree!!! I'm a school bus driver so during my down time between routes I'm glued to what you're producing!!! Keep doing what you're doing and I'll continue to watch!!! ❤❤❤
I'm another of those non-woodturners who just really likes your artistry, Jim! This one didn't disappoint. Love the balance in your pieces between the epoxy and the wood.
Me too! You are a true artist. If you ever worry you aren't because you don't throw paint on a canvas or whatever, remember that art comes in many forms. And you love the practical kind. Doesn't make you any less of an artist, it just makes you practical!
Jim watching you pour the Designer Epoxy, then sand and shape the burl into a perfect disc for Those Bourbon Guys turntable is the perfect way to start off my Saturday. Thank you!
Watching you struggle with the release of your projects never gets old. You put a smile on our face every time 😂 . Instead of using your drum sander right from the beginning, you might want to try starting with your cuts all grinder. Grind off the hot melt glue to avoid gumming up your drum sander and then put your project through the drum sander. It will save you time on sanding, it will also be less ware and tare on your eraser thus saving money and time and a lot of headaches.
I love the trials of "Jim against the mold"!! 🤣😂🤣 That burl is absolutely stunning!!! Wood turning is very a relaxing ASMR thing. I enjoy a good whiskey too. 😉
I'm not a wood turner. I'm fascinated with your craft, but I don't practice. I enjoy your voice overs and videos, and watching you make beautiful things.
That blue is always so very pretty and the burl combined with it is even prettier. I agree COMPLETELY with those who also watch your videos as a source of relaxation. I consider it my Friday reward for making it through the week!! Plus, we got an extra special episode of Jim vs Bucket this week, always a bonus. Love your work, keep it coming!!
What a beauty. Puts me in mind of a satellite photo of a body of water between two desert islands. The blue resin and golden wood each set off the other fabulously.
Love another episode of Jim versus the bucket. I find watching your videos relaxing and a bit fun but mostly I'm in awe of the beautiful work you turn out.
The burl really "POPS!!" with the blue resin. All the eyes and swirls in the burl are fantastic! What a beautiful piece! Enjoyed watching you create another beautiful piece of art. Thanks for sharing your artistry.
Another Star Trek planet of beauty.. Incidentally, I am also a non-turner. I watch for the pleasure of seeing something being created. But I do like a craft fair and it has been nice to speak to woodturners about their work and understand (and not put my foot in my mouth).
I'm one of those that likes watching, even though I'm not a wood turner, or even a wood worker. I like the voice overs. Knowing what's going on makes it more interesting.
The different teeth on the scraper determine how thick the resin you leave behind is. That turntable cover is beautiful- the burl and blue are just amazing together. Amazing!
What an amazing turn table!!!! That Maple burl with the blue river running through it is stunning! ❤ This would look awesome bottom lite also. This turn table would make a wonderful wedding gift to put in the middle of dining room table with condiments on it.😊
Amazing art piece. Looks like two coastal areas with a crystal clear sea between them. Also, as people tend to do, I was picking out faces in the burl, because the grain patterns are just that easy to see. Beautiful work.
When I saw the title of this video, I thought "Wow, those Bourbon Guys must be doing pretty well to want a custom cover for their record player!" Ugh, my age is showing. But it is beautiful! I love how the resin finish brought out the golds and browns in the burl. And I also watch your videos to relax. Thanks, Jim!!
Great piece. I love blue. Always looks like a different planet when used with wood. Somebody needs to invent a spring form for resin casting. They work great for cakes. Designer Epoxy.
Hey Jim 👋 Another non-wood turner here. I’m glad you mentioned it and I’m honestly kind of relieved that I am not the only one. I love watching these videos both in the morning with a cup of coffee and/or in the evening to help wind down before bed.
Wowza! That turned out beautifully! Absolutely gorgeous and perfectly coated! That is a masterpiece, both sides! The wood is magnificent and the colors actually bring out the golden tones! Great job! Bravo!
Love how you placed the burl with the river running through it. The effect is another beauty. And I love the voiceovers, it really brought me to your channel!
Stunning piece again Jim. I love how relaxing your video’s are too, but I do like to listen to what you are saying on how to turn the wood and how not to do things. Great video again this week ❤
When you first poured the gold resin it reminded me of Starry Night. Even though more gold didn't show up in the finished piece it is still so beautiful. I'm sure your customer will love it!
Well another Burl in the Bucket Battle but you were victorious! Anyone would be pleased with your creation. ❤ Keep your videos coming! Can't wait to see what you tackle next. Have a great weekend, blessings to you and yours!😊
Another beautiful piece. And don't worry about those who are complaining about voice over or video sequences that show you doing something besides turning. A lot of us are trying to learn, and in showing things like how you are using the drum sander, you are helping us develop our own methods of working. And that is what I here for.
i’ve never even seen a lathe in person, much less turned wood. still really enjoy these videos! and have learned a lot of woodturning knowledge i’ll likely never end up needing. but you never know!
Jim, this is gorgeous as always. Every piece you use the ocean blue and burl with is a map of a strange new world. I really appreciate you explaining how to make surfaces flat. I had a devil of a time with a maple rolling pin I turned and ended up doing way too much sanding with a flat bar to make up for my poor technique. Thank you for explaining how to accomplish flatness!
I also watch to have something interesting on while having my morning coffee, it tends to switch between wood turning, cooking, quilting and aquascaping videos.
I'm also another one of the non-turners that absolutely loves the work that you do and again like several have said you never disappoint!!! I'm still going thru your older videos and I've seen one that people have said that watching your videos are relaxing, and I agree!!! Awesome! Thank you very much!

Jim, I find the wood turners who don't speak boring. I will never wood turn, but I enjoy your talking and find it relaxing, too. Thanks. Trudy
Thank you very much!
I agree, Jim. Your voice is perfect for voice-over.
Jim watching you pour the Designer Epoxy, then sand and shape the burl into a perfect disc for Those Bourbon Guys turntable is the perfect way to start off my Saturday. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
As always the blue and the burl look amazing. What a cool idea.
Thank you very much!
Watching you struggle with the release of your projects never gets old. You put a smile on our face every time 😂 . Yes, I probably should do that. The glue is easier to remove from the Kutsall. Thanks
Another beautiful piece. The Resin Covering makes make the Burl pop. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
You too! Thanks
I am one of those people that just enjoy watching these type of videos and I really appreciate your voice overs.🤠👍🏼🇺🇲🇨🇦
Thank you very much!
I love the trials of "Jim against the mold"!!
🤣😂🤣
That burl is absolutely stunning!!!
Wood turning is very a relaxing ASMR thing.
I enjoy a good whiskey too. 😉
Thanks 🔨🔨🔨
Love the burl, love the blue and love Designer Epoxy.
Thank you very much!
I'm not a wood turner. I'm fascinated with your craft, but I don't practice. I enjoy your voice overs and videos, and watching you make beautiful things.
Thank you very much!
Yep. I enjoy wood turning. I know I’ll never do it, but just watching the artistry bloom is amazing to me!
Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!

Lol, thanks!
It is always a great pleasure to see old wood can be still alive and beautiful in your Art work
Thank you very much!
Beautiful burl. Love the way the grain picks up and shines thru with the resin coat
Me too! Thank you very much!
What a beauty. Puts me in mind of a satellite photo of a body of water between two desert islands. The blue resin and golden wood each set off the other fabulously.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful piece Jim, I'm sure the Bourbon Guys will be pleased!
Thank you very much!
Love another episode of Jim versus the bucket. I find watching your videos relaxing and a bit fun but mostly I'm in awe of the beautiful work you turn out.
Thank you so much!
Absolutely gorgeous Jim. Thank you so kindly for sharing your wonderful talent and videos with us all. Take great care.
Thank you very much!
The burl really "POPS!!" with the blue resin. All the eyes and swirls in the burl are fantastic! What a beautiful piece! Enjoyed watching you create another beautiful piece of art. Thanks for sharing your artistry.
Thanks for watching!
What Whiskey should we sent to Jim?
I’ll take one of each! Haha.
Why not all of it?
I know it’s not bourbon, but I’d send Jameson stout cask finish, a nice non-offensive whiskey for all levels of whiskey connoisseurs
Buffalo Trace and some Bourbon Cream!!
Ardbeg or Lagavullin. 😃
Designer Epoxy another gorgeous piece. Enjoy the Bourbon!!
Sure will, thanks
Beautiful work, the uses for woodturning projects are boundless.
Totally! Thank you very much!
Another Star Trek planet of beauty.. Incidentally, I am also a non-turner. I watch for the pleasure of seeing something being created. But I do like a craft fair and it has been nice to speak to woodturners about their work and understand (and not put my foot in my mouth).
Lol. Thank you very much!
Looks great 👍
Thank you very much!
I am also one of the ones that finds your videos relaxing. It’s become my Sunday morning show to watch with breakfast and coffee.
Great! Thanks!
I'm one of those that likes watching, even though I'm not a wood turner, or even a wood worker. I like the voice overs. Knowing what's going on makes it more interesting.
Thank you so much!
The different teeth on the scraper determine how thick the resin you leave behind is. That turntable cover is beautiful- the burl and blue are just amazing together. Amazing!
Thank you very much!
I love how the burl came to life when you poured on the epoxy ! Beautiful workmanship.
Thank you very much!
This piece is really vibrant and will make any turntable shots look beautiful.
Thank you very much!
Designer Epoxy. I love the blue with that burl, another beautiful piece!
I think you have to put "Designer Epoxy" all by itself as a separate comment for it to work.
His comment should work. Not sure about yours “” with your comment though, lol.
I love the way the maple grain pops with the epoxy finish
Me too! Thank you very much!
I absolutely love how you talk and explain everything in your videos. It helps keep me engaged and focused when watching. I love your products
Thank you very much!
Designer Epoxy. Another incredible project. Love those colors and maple burl is almost always beautiful.
Thank you very much!
What an amazing turn table!!!! That Maple burl with the blue river running through it is stunning! ❤ This would look awesome bottom lite also.
This turn table would make a wonderful wedding gift to put in the middle of dining room table with condiments on it.😊
Thank you very much!
Wow, so so pretty. Perfect choice blue color to make it look like water. Another gorgeous work of art.
Thank you very much!
The final resin coat made that burl exceptionally beautiful! Another great piece.
Thank you so much!
Amazing art piece. Looks like two coastal areas with a crystal clear sea between them. Also, as people tend to do, I was picking out faces in the burl, because the grain patterns are just that easy to see. Beautiful work.
Thank you so much!
A little piece of the world! Love the blue
Designer Epoxy .
Thank you very much!
Okay, you already know that blue with Designer Epoxy is my favourite, but I swear it's the burl that makes this piece sing this time around!
Cool, thanks!
Wow! This turntable is stunning! The burl is exceptional and just the right size!
Thank you so much!
It was fun to see something different and to understand the difficulties in making something flat!
Thank you very much!
Nice work. It appears the customer is already happy! Nice
Thank you very much!
Thanks Jim. The pours definitely keep you on your toes, and give you a good workout!
Thanks 😊
When I saw the title of this video, I thought "Wow, those Bourbon Guys must be doing pretty well to want a custom cover for their record player!" Ugh, my age is showing. But it is beautiful! Another beautiful project. The burl and blue resin go together so well.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful work, I love the "river" running through the middle and I love how the wood compliments the blue
Me too. Thank you very much!
Great piece. I love blue. Always looks like a different planet when used with wood. Somebody needs to invent a spring form for resin casting. They work great for cakes. Designer Epoxy.
I suppose the leaks would be the issue, I’m sure it can be done. Thanks
I never done wood turning. Going to bloody try . Go onto 70 years old. Never to late to learn thanks .LIVE In Tasmania

Totally! Thanks
Designer epoxy: I have gotten the deep pour-and it now seems I need to get the Artcast! Thank you again Jim!
You’ll love it! Thanks!
I think an amber-colored bottle of whiskey will look glamorous atop this lovely piece. I wanted to look at the bottom again with those green shoals!
Thank you very much!
Cool! I love the slight optical illusion that the burl creates -- they look much deeper than they actually are.
Totally! Thank you very much!
Looked like planet earth. I also find watching you turn, so relaxing. 🥰 Both sides were great. ❤️
