    Raced clone this passed weekend in KY. Higher bite clay track. In the day time went on older cured up burris and put a straightaway on them, but when the sun dropped I’d figure to throw the new ones on 2024s or 2023s, well that didn’t all work out😂 a lot of the times an older cured up tire is what you need for these bigger races. The previous years tires that have sat and are hard seem to have more speed than a new Burris.

      Yep. Some of my fastest Burris were older ones.

    Burris for sure i try to let a tire cure back up for 3-4 weeks. especially if youre running somewhere that requires to get aggressive. i will leave the tires outside during this time for the first few weeks. Sister sets are key for bigger races where the burris will fall off a bit most times if you run them back to back. Really depends on the track condition.

    Great Video, here in Wisconsin, we run no prep and prep racing. We have a really good no prep game on slicks and treads, but really tuned into more prep racing this year and wow have I learned a lot. Burris are wiping outside only. Maxxis prep is different with aging, reroll, etc. We run on both soft tracks with calcium to super high grip tracks like asphalt. Always learning, always obsorbing info. Keep putting out the great content! I too run mainly track tac products, and your info vids on the tire preps has been great!

    Calcium treatment like at Hunterstown seems like ya need tires hard as tricycle tires!! We run a track in Indiana that is a Burris track and the fast guys are running up to 9lbs of air on 5 year old tires!!! It's mind-boggling to me to try and keep up with tire performance...😮

      Right! Wish I was ontop of all the tire knowledge to be as fast as some of those guys.

      A buddy mine ran hunterstown for yrs,sandy hook,few other racetracks up there.hes fast.he said he ran 44’s on rs and 33’s on left side there.he always ran 33’s and 22’s at our local track.he dont use tire prep at all only wd40.no prep.he said its waste of money.and that kart racings a fierce battle,ya gotta learn to not beat yourself.

    Hey Ben, I am one of those that hates the burris tire game, I have 4 sets and you really do only run them one time per set per night, each has the same staggers (or as close as i can keep them). That way when going from set to set air pressure changes translate from set to set. Each has its own history and why I will pick to run them and when, some have many different preps through them, some only one kind and its all plays into that ever important duro number. Theres even times I wish I had a set that never had been preeped but the budget only alows so much. Its common around here for people to sell used burris, but then you get in to not knowing whats in them.. and letting them set between uses at least a week in between is needed or they just burn up. Thanks for the great content every week!

    We showed up a few places with right side Firestone's for a couple years and people look like WTF are those things? They were old used discontinued tires we bought for good prices. But at the end of the night we leave 🏆😂 and them 🫨

      My buddy had some stones he would break out of the track was right. I personally ever had any but should have bought some before they were gone. Lol.

    What do I need to do with brand new Burris?

    • @tylerlauterbach7720

    I have a question how do you pull prep out of a tire if you have to much bite and or to soft. That would be nice to know

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably should do a dedicated video. In short, time and heat (like the sun) can cure tires from over prepping. Things like methanol or Hexane can also assist by wiping on the tire but can do damage if overdone.
