Told you hahaha. Running the clones and the predator makes you relearn to drive again. Tires, chassis, scale, prep, all of that and d8d I say relearning to drive again hahaha. Because it's truth. High horsepower allows you to correct mistakes. Lower power you mess up and your basically done. You have no choice but to be like the rest and push ppl out of the way.... unless you kamikaze into the corners like a lot of them do, that's a no no. My open team mate is also finding this out as well in the clone class. He builds our uas motors and we'll all of these motors. But he recently decided to run the clones, and has found out you need to drive better and keep the laps consistent every lap.
completely off topic question, but I run on we mostly use goat pee where in the winter you want your tires around 30 and in the summer maybe a 35-40. I was wondering a good inside prep to use. I thought about maybe goat or some track tack black sand but I'm not sure how it'll work with the soft tire and the outside wipes of goat. We have one big turn and then a real sharp hair pin turn.
Unfortunately 8 tires are better than 4 tires in corners. I hate getting rough up and getting srnt to the back. And no most do it on purpose it's the nature of the beast. But it is fun.
On track calls !!! This is a subject that can go on for weeks. Try racing against the track "presidents" son, the race directors brother, the flagmans nephew (all the same kid) get takin out by him, also takes himself out, you get sent to the back and he always gets his spot back, over the Whole season. 😡🤯. But anywho clone racing has if anything taught me to be aware of some many little things, just to try and get that little bit of advantage..
Think you’ll find that the reason Evan and Kyle can be better in open/UAS is that they’re not loosing as much as far as speed just like the clones. Because you came from open racing you had that HP cushion to get you out of trouble and it makes us complacent. Now in stockers it’s not loosing speed cause you have no HP. It’ll make you way faster all around Ben. If you run that bama like you do this clone you’ll be dumb fast!!!
Sadly that kid that dumped you isn't going to learn his lesson till someone roughs him up outside of the kart..... parents have become so ultra competitive with racing at the lowest level thinking their kids the next big thing for Nascar that they teach them to win no matter what they have to do.. sportsmanship has went out the window a long time ago... that was part of the reason I got out of racing the clone classes and started racing predators... I saw more respect in racing running that 100 dollar engine then I ever did in the clones
It’s definitely tough. I have hope that getting just one person to run tight but clean can inspire others. Although and eye for an eye does happen more often. Lol.
Bodies!! I start every year with a brand new body and last year I finished with a used nose and left side panel from two years ago with lots of duct tape. Lol. Rather frustrating for sure!
Dive bombing is the biggest problem. There are a lot of drivers that just have no clue how to drive. Because they are in a go kart. To them it’s just a game, ha ha, funny funny. JMO.
we do a spiner spiny rule so if you hit someone and they spin you both go to the back to deture ruff play
That’s usually the case. Not this time.

It’s been a learning experience for sure.

It is fun. Hate to loose, love to compete.

Yeh that’s a bummer. I’m a local who isn’t quite local enough. Lol.

I’m hoping so. 👍
Clones like most other stock classified engines are all about keeping that momentum up and getting in a rhythm
Hey Ben, sent you a email the other day about kart gearing. Just a heads up. Have a good day!
Sent ya one. 👍

The Predator Heavy class at my track is mostly dudes early 30's to early 60's and they just want to have a good time.
Bodies!! I start every year with a brand new body and last year I finished with a used nose and left side panel from two years ago with lots of duct tape. Lol. Rather frustrating for sure!
That it is. I’ll get faster. 😁

I can usually feel a move about to happen. But not that one, but I knew who it was when it happened. Lol.
@@kart6t3_ben I run a 212 budget. Venturing into the Ghost class.
Do-nuts on the left side is not optimal!!! Do-nuts on right side ok!!!
Ideally none. But yes I don’t like the left ones very much. Haha.
Clone racing ? Sounds more like clown racing. 😂 Sounds about right, Ben. It's still pretty fun though.
It is. I’m enjoying it.
