    I know Henry and Terry. They're working very hard to make an amazing competing tire for a great price. I expect they will continue to work hard to make this a great tire even after testing. Great video as always

    Ben,
    You missed spoke about the tire not taking prep like a Maxxis. This tire doesn't require the amount of prep that a Maxxis does.
    They have put the money where their mouth is. This guys have gave back more to the karter than ive seen, other brands have. They even spent a ton of money to have their molds redone, to fix a couple of problems.
    We're running in Tennessee, where is mainly Burris, in a 100cc class, and we're switching to reapers this year.
    I myself have found that ive had to do things a little bit different from what they recommended.
    I know my prep bill will go down this year, because of this tire.
    Just my opinion

    The clone class in my area. Just went to reaper tires. With a dirty tire rule, at the track. I run a 212 budget. Just got my set. To get use to. Cause I’m pretty sure the 212’s will be going to these next year.

    Great video Ben. We have ran the reapers at a couple of tracks. If you do the prep work they are fast on a UAS kart. I will say that the first tire they came with had a soft sidewall and i have seen them come unseated off the rim at paradise raceway. We haven't ran the newest tire they came out with but the sidewall is much better. We plan on getting a couple of sets of them to try out. I feel sure that with the right inside and outside prep these tires will be competitive in the faster classes. Keep up the videos they are awsome

    I have never used them and had a buddy that bought a set to use in an open class that “allowed” a”non” Burris tire. He never really said much about them.. so many Burris spec tracks need more “Open Tire” tracks.. tires are ridiculous cost wise.

  • @jessiebateman82
    @jessiebateman82 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    I bought a set and they say you don’t have to do a lot of prep work. That’s a lie. You need a hard tire this is the tire for you. If you need a soft tire this is not the tire. I can not get this tire soft. I’ve sanded and used almost a half of bottle of BTGP on them. Will not get soft.

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good to know. That very well might be the predicament I’ll be in up here. The track that they are gonna be used at is softer. I have some ideas I’d have to try.

    • @rickyworley35
      @rickyworley35 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I haven't tried them, but know a guy that seems to be making them work on a track that usually needs softer tires being that it's run during the winter in low temps. Possible that BTGP is just the wrong prep for them. They may need internal to get soft also. Not sure, just ideas.

    • @jessiebateman82
      @jessiebateman82 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yea I know a way to get them soft. But reaper said they don’t need a lot of work and prep. Most tracks I run on is red clay and wet. I usually run white maxxis

    In my opinion, the only people who like Maxxis are the people making money, selling, maxxis, or selling their services to make a maxxis work. If you take a step back and think about how great this tire is that you have to cut and roll and prep and age, and all of these things. Why is it so great if you have to change it so much? time is money, so anything you didn’t have to spend as much time preparing would be a better choice.

    • @kart6t3_ben

    If a series would impound the tires like the SC Maxxis series or Millbridge, say for three races, no prep, I can see it blowing up. At roughly $150 a set of Reapers, That's $50 a race. I spend almost as much working tires per race. Just a idea.
