Yes, DC CDI, variable module for advance, and variable CDI will be my future projects, if you are interested, you can subscribe to the channel and Hit the Bell to receive notification as soon as it is released.
Nice video. Do you know how to make a cdi for use without a coil? 6-12 volt DC, hall sensor for a trigger and a cdi with a spark plug wire. I would use it on a weed wacker engine converted for model aircraft use. To see what one looks like, search RCEXL ignition, and it uses a NKG CM-6 spark plug. Thank you!
Hi and welcome, Yes, building a CDI system without a coil for a weed wacker engine is possible, but it requires careful design and component selection. These types of circuits require knowledge of electronics and precise soldering skills, and you must be cautious to prevent risks of electric shock or damage... I might explore this topic in the future
Hi. nice. thats so great info. Why you did not use the barrel you use with a drill to trigger the sensor? is it hall effect sensro? how can i make a 4 cill engine triggger with your ideas? its posible to use one coil for two cil. so i need two of them at first. how to let them trigger independently? you are very good in trigger system
1-I did not use a drill because in the previous video I used the AC system and had to turn the flywheel on the stator in addition to generating ac power for the CDI, but in the DC system, the CDI is powered by the battery. , and I just tried to show how it works. But for timed ignition, I could just use the previous stator pickup,... 2-For a four-cylinder engine, the waste spark method works well, where both cylinders are sparking at the same time, but only one of them is at ignition timing. For this, you can use two coils and connect each one to two cylinders. You can also use dual CDI, but they are a bit expensive. There is another type of CDI in the form of (TCI). or twin capacitor ignition in which there are separate outputs for two separate coils and designed for one cylinder,... For this work, it is necessary to have enough time, interest and skill.
I have a 35cc mvvs radio control aeroplane engine what would be the best DC ignition unit for it.The engine has magnets on the crankshaft for ignition pickup
Since DC CDI requires a battery, and most of them are 12 volts, the components of your ignition system must also be 12 volts. In this case, you can use a DC CDI from a motorcycle or ATV. I will soon provide a tutorial on how to build a DC CDI as well.
You can use a 12V DC to AC converter with a maximum output of 200V. However, since in an AC system the voltage is around 50V at low RPM and increases to 110v as the RPM rises, the engine's performance may encounter issues. Therefore, it is better to use a DC CDI. In the next project, I will provide a tutorial on building a DC CDI.
i always prepare a pen and a sheet of paper to note down some, magic tricks, thanks allot
That’s awesome! Good luck!
can you please make a video for DC cdi making? it will be great help!!!

Thanks I look forward to seeing it
dual trigger CDI exist? or it will become sequental? i need to trigger two dual coil.they cal it waste spark
Yes, a dual-trigger CDI system exists and is often used with a waste spark ignition system in engines with dual coils
Necesito un CDI DC para un motor 250cc 4t 2 Válvulas. O necesito saber que transformador puedo usar para el circuito inversor de 12 a 110v
