      Points alone can send the necessary signal to activate the coil, but since modern coils typically require more precise voltage and current levels and are designed for electronic systems, this older points-based system may cause performance issues with the coil and reduce efficiency.

    Now that you have plenty of voltage available, open up the spark plug gaps to 1.5mm or even 2mm. Will run a little bit smoother at part throttle. Probably no increase in power though.

    I'm looking at the schematic and have few questions.
    1 is generator coil ac or dc, what voltage?
    2 what is trigger coil voltage, i assume ac ?
    I'm wondering if i could use this as a booster after the factory ignition driver to boost the output and not loose the oem timing control.

      For old carburetor engines, you can use a CDI. However, there are some points to consider:
      1. The CDI must be DC type.
      2. You will need one CDI unit for each cylinder. However, it is possible to use one CDI for two cylinders as well.
      3. Timing must be precise. A crankshaft sensor is required to trigger the CDI so that the spark occurs at the piston’s top dead center.
      In general, it requires skill, interest, and enough time for proper testing.

      Hi, Most 50cc scooters can be used, But you must be sure that the power of your motorcycle is AC. If you don't know what power your motorcycle uses, I suggest you watch two videos, CDI and stator identification on the channel, you will understand.

      To install the CDI, you first need to find the AC output from the stator. When you start the engine, the AC wire gives a weak voltage to the ground. Then, locate the pickup input, which you can identify by opening the cover. You’ll see its color. To start the engine with AC power, you can use my CDI. I built a very powerful CDI, and a complete video about it will be released tomorrow afternoon, November 2nd. I recommend you watch it; the construction is very simple.

      (just for information) special capacitors are used inside the Japanese units, I opened the Japanese example of Shindingen company, the current is much higher than this unit, but it does not cause a problem, this standard CDI unit is just for replacement

    Wow impressed. Can u make for dominar 400 single cilynder. Is it possible to make only for sparks plug and rest will be with original. Just removing requred wire from original cdi to feed this and seprate only for strong sparks. Pls consider i don't understand anything on electronic😂😂 just trying to get strong sparks.       Sorry, I have no idea what type of CDI is required for operating a 4 cylinder engine, so not sure how the above circuit can be made, usually the CDI circuit of multi-cylinder engines is very complicated and its manufacturing technology is not in the hands of the public. , and only some companies like (shindengen) make it.💓🙏

Your second question: But ac cdi can't be put on a motorcycle with a DC coil, unless you change the flywheel and coil to AC.     now that sure is a stronger power supply,. but believe me it still wont be able overcome the original CDI,
    because it lacked the mechanism of. the ignition timing control,
    anyway,
    at least the bike would have a better response witha richer A/F mix

      In the diagram, only the positive input of the pickup is shown, and the negative is just connected to ground or other negative points in the circuit.🙏

      @ if sell them them I’m your fist costumer. I bought a tl1000r n I thought it was carbureted n it wasn’t. It fuel injected so it has ECM. If was carbureted I would have like to buy ur CDI. Can u make ECM ? Do u poses the knowledge to build one?

      Unfortunately, building an ECM is not feasible, as it requires specialized equipment, deep knowledge, and complex programming. Additionally, a CDI system would not be suitable for your motorcycle.

      If your ignition system is of the old contact breaker type, it needs to be upgraded to CDI, which requires replacing all the ignition components, such as the ignition coil, flywheel, stator, and others. However, if your motorcycle is a later model already upgraded to CDI, you can use this CDI, but be aware that the performance of your motorcycle may change.
      A more thorough examination is needed.

      Hi, If your motorcycle has two pickups, you can use a separate CDI unit for each cylinder. Since this circuit is designed for a single cylinder,
      If you are using separate CDI units for each cylinder, the trigger angle for each CDI must be adjusted according to the position of its respective cylinder and the required timing.
      The trigger angle is a crucial factor in synchronizing ignition between cylinders. Precise adjustment improves engine performance, increases fuel efficiency, and reduces wear on components.
