I agree. I served in the USMC, and am currently using my GI Bill benefits to pursue an engineering degree. My plan was always to finish college and move to a country that will provide a better future for my family. This election being so close has actually gotten me to start researching if I can use those benefits to finish college in another country instead of waiting another 3 years. I was still in the marines when he was elected. I walked by the morgue on the ship housing the bodies of service members who died in military action he called for. He doesn't care about the troops. He doesn't care about Americans. And the fact that so many Americans still CHOOSE to vote for him makes me loose even more hope in the future of America.
I kept telling people that it is delusional to believe that all non-voters are liberal, progressive, or at least anti-Trump. But most people did not want to accept reality. They'd rather look away or blame Russia instead of acknowledging that the US has some deep rooted problems.

As an outside observer, I can’t get over the fact that this was a close race, I really believed that the vast majority of Americans would reject Trump. I mean with all the hate & incompetence almost half of America still voted for this guy. It really saddens me that this is America.

I agree. I served in the USMC, and am currently using my GI Bill benefits to pursue an engineering degree. My plan was always to finish college and move to a country that will provide a better future for my family. This election being so close has actually gotten me to start researching if I can use those benefits to finish college in another country instead of waiting another 3 years. I was still in the marines when he was elected. I walked by the morgue on the ship housing the bodies of service members who died in military action he called for. He doesn't care about the troops. He doesn't care about Americans. And the fact that so many Americans still CHOOSE to vote for him makes me loose even more hope in the future of America.
I kept telling people that it is delusional to believe that all non-voters are liberal, progressive, or at least anti-Trump. But most people did not want to accept reality. They'd rather look away or blame Russia instead of acknowledging that the US has some deep rooted problems.
Stephen Colbert is one of the only things keeping me sane this year.

I was speaking more broadly about my hope that talk shows/ late night shows won't utilize laugh tracks when they're able to resume filming in front of an audience.
