Yeah for the people who came up with the genius corrections format, they somehow suck at properly uploading. I thought the late night team was really TH-cam savvy, turns out I was wrong?
ETA I’m aware it might be to increase views and revenue, but if that’s the case it still annoys your subscribers and is not a clever idea.
It can have to do with laws and regulations in other countries than your own. Other shows post edited clips so they can be seen in those countries.
One is with the monologue, one the classic „A Closer Look“ only. I guess people click on the latter more often, so they kept it.
But also wanted to upload the monologue for more clicks. And only the monologue would be too short (~2 min) so they included the closer look section in that video too.
I bet NBC is claiming 'cost-cutting' issues and let the tech-savy peeps go. It seems to me that NBC is trying everything in its power to silence Seth and crew's observations per trump.
They used to upload the opening monolog and A Closer Look as separate videos. But a couple of weeks ago, they shifted to first uploading only A Closer Look and some hours later a video of the opening monolog plus A Closer Look. And yes, it's annoying. I keep reminding myself to ignore A Closer Look notifications and wait for full videos.
