I see many comments here about the software I'm using so let's make it clear once and for all: I am using MAYA for all my 3D stuff, and NUKE/AFTER EFFECTS for compositing and color correction.

So much time, effort, and skill that was put into this. Wouldn’t doubt the amazing feeling it would be to see your art truly come to life.

@05:28... dude... you ain't lying about SOUND DESIGN. My 1st feature really suffered due to BAD SOUND. It is unforgivable.
yeah.. one of the first sign of an amateur film. A decent film with amazing sound would feel better then a great movie with shitty sound.

Im just starting to animate in 3D even was able to have a friend make and rig my character glacia for me. I just figured out how to render and now im working on getting her to actually move from one place to another. Having your own characters is such a huge motivator that i never realized before.
I also created some short crap animations which i love and 'im very proud for the trash i created. Now i was even able to create some expressions to my character. There's no price that can buys it.
4 years after and you'll be like a pro already. Any sites or links where you can advise one to learn from?

Came here from the Brazilian channel Gato Galáctico, he makes 2D animations about a badass rabbit and his human and cow friends. Sounds strange, but it's really good and it takes a long time to release a new episode, now i understand why.

this a video is more specifically on how to make a "3D" animated movie. I say this because I was looking for something to show you how to make a animated movie the more traditional drawing method way with the help of software to speed it up, such as with anime studio or equivalent.
I'm expert in 3d animation the problem I didn't start my own 3d short film because i don't have the story idea :D
Sometime i think maybe i should do it in reverse step, like creating the 3d characters randomly first and build the story from it lol

Looking at this, some people may think this is expensive to do. You're using Maya and Adobe products, all so expensive, but there is a cheaper solution. Everything I use is for free. I don't know of any free After Effects software though. For modeling, Rigging, and Animation, I use Blender. For messing with making Audio, I use Audacity. Blender is one of the best free open source software's to have. It can probably do most of what Maya can do. Audition may be better than Audacity. I've never used Maya or Audition but I've heard Blender is about as good as Maya. Blender allows you to make cool effects so that could be the After Effects. I have a hard time finding the right sound effects too. I suck at drawing so I don't do that. lol. I've just recently started making test animations. I posted them to YT. Not on this channel though.
