The only problem with showing off model submarines is the difficulty of seeing them underwater. Other commenters have mentioned wearing polarized glasses, but I think it would be even cooler to sail them in a large aquarium tank, where spectators can watch through glass windows underwater.
Polarized glasses really do help a lot. I have a home on the island of Oahu and all the good fishermen wear Maui Jim polarized sunglasses to help them see into the water/cuts down on the glare. Your aquarium idea sounds really cool though I’d enjoy seeing them from that perspective
@@EssentialRC yes explosions in water cause more damage due to water not giving. An explosion cavitation the water making it boil and explode so under water multiplies the effect.
I bought an expensive diving/surfacing sub for me and my Daughter. We went out into the Sea for its Maiden Voyage in Cornwall. Excitedly we set it on its way and it chugged along and dived....And we never saw it again. My Daughter was distraught so I told her that its okay the sub will surface on a beach in France in front of a little boy with no toys.
@@EssentialRC no it was just a battery operated job. Did I say RC? No I don't think I did. I'm hardly going to buy a "really" expensive RC sub then swim out with my daughter and swim and control it at the same time. When I say expensive I say relatively speaking. You guys would call it a toy. I apologize for my interest in your site.
Interesting that the torpedoes are loaded into the tube already running, obviously to avoid the hassle of having to switch them on within the boat (by a Reed contact e.g.)... and the battery life of an AAA battery driving a little motor is obviously so long, it's easier to just keep the torpedoes running.
Torpedoes with a charge for radio controlled subs is something that will not happen as there are rules in place to stop this. It’s dangerous not only to the operator but also to the observers. Pyrotechnics have always been banned in the modeling community.

Si, eso sería genial, al estilo de los acuarios de pesca de bass

And here I thought the whole point of a submarine was the difficulty in detection.
The torpedos are really cool but I have to day that's a gorgeous model. The weathering is outstanding.
It really is!
The kid going " da-dom-da-dom-da-dom" was hilarious 😆 Right into it.
Absolutely freaking AWESOME 👍😎👍
So Great 🎉
Just brilliant, and probably not to far from reality.
A polarising filter for your camera would allow you to see better under the water 👍
I have always wanted someone to make little torpedoes that actually have a small charge so their is an explosion; one day.
I have seen it once. Was a TH-cam video. Can't find it now. Did some real damage actually. Small charge in water would create a lot of force I guess.

Put a little bit of encapsulated elemental potassium on the tip and wala
Well said my friend
Or an RC tank with a working gun.
.Great RC model work with small sea-war funs!
How cool is this man .....I want such toy
Outstanding!
Too cool!
魚雷の構造すごい🎉水中モーター凄い❗本物魚雷もビックリ😮‼️するリアリティー‼️
The problem is fresh water doesn't foam like salt water ; so they never look scale when running on the surface .
The foam could make it worse cuz the bubbles would look gigantic I think
It's nice

Surely it was tethered?! Radio control does not work to any depth in water.

LLLOLLL!!!!!! Sorry....
5:05 the dude on the ground ??? Must be drunk 😂
How do they RC communicate with a totally submerged Submarine ?? Would like to see a torpedo and it's build up close.
Can't remember what frequency they use but its not 2.4Ghz. It does penetrate a few feet into the water
@@EssentialRC Didn't know that.. Thanks. From the long Radio antenna it might be 72MHz or 75 MHz
a normal 40 MHz RC works up to 3 metres depth, even better if you take the "Takelage" as an antenna (isolated copperwire)
Where can you buy these?
How did he make this thing?
6:04
"yeeeah 😐"
Is it possible to Light Up the water..flood lights
Really fun but needed an explosion.

Where can I get these submarines?
I feel like it would help a lot if they just used a blue tarp or any other color instead?
Where do you get the torpedo from
Made from scratch. I've got a video soon of him explaining it
USN BurOrd?
nice :)
The Sub's inner workings are standard merch, like jet engines?? Only a few builders with own systems and both manufacteurs are most ambitious!
Jet engine?! No
😃😄😁😆😅 5 Smile's.
I can do this with a little real explosion so it will looks like realistic. Whose interested?
It reminds me RDR2 game and mission with model of torpedo-boat
Typ XXIII
Do you sale this u-boat?
No

See pyrotechnics regularly at RC shows
You’re no fun.
ITS must have an exvensive to build this. Rc ..sub...
Very time consuming, skilled and high effort mostly
Yes sure but the hobby is unik ITS very proud build yourself... 👍👍
The torpedos didn’t even explode
Its a shame to sink that beautiful neptune ship like they did with those torpedoes
+
No laser guidance, what a rip off, lol!
didn't explode. must be american Mark 14 XD
