I built and flew RC aircraft for quite a few years. Man does this bring me back. You guys talking back and forth, having fun…. What a great hobby. I will think about getting back into this!

Testament to that A-10 and what a beating it can take! All in all, I was disappointed by the low part count on most of the crashes. 🤣Thanks for showing us new guys its ok to not be perfect sometimes! Looking forward to what you'll demo for us next year. Happy holidays!

Good stuff! Thanks for all the tips and inspiration. Found your channel early this year when I started flying. 190 something flights on my TTE now and it’s equal parts foam and glue from so many crashes haha
All in all a great year really more success than failure, some great moments the channel has grown I’m sure , thanks for the content all you do it just leaves me to wish you your family’s a wonderful holiday everybody in the comments happy holidays and hoping to see a few new comments in the new year of some nice planes some mite find under the tree and not in them 😅

Really entertaining and I realized even doing +1000 flights last year I didn't play with my planes as much as you guys did!
There are some really good saves among these. I think I would have made confetti out of nearly every one of those.
I loved the use of reverse thrust on a second airplane to recover the first one that went snorkeling.
That's become standard for us now. A model with reverse thrust always comes out when we're flying anything on water, if nothing but to act as a rescue vehicle.
Props for showing us all that mistakes happen. Soo many of us and definitely me are soo afraid to wreck some of our beloved models that we don't fly them for that reason.
Foam can almost always be repaired!

6:41 ah yes, when one seaplane crashes, it’s mate comes to push its stricken mate back to dry land. Props to that pilot for rescuing his mate and his aircraft!
Alot of these seem like pretty skilled pilots, most crashes i see the plane get obliterated. Here maybe one lil piece falls off but otherwise they seem in good shape (I know nothing about rc airplanes, i'm a rc crawler guy myself :) )

We always bring at least one extra float plane with thrust reverse just for recovery.

At 5:10 that was the smoothest touchdown I’ve seen
That was a beautiful inverted high-alpha maneuver until it wasn't. Luckily it didn't hit that SAB goblin heli sitting there or the crowd for that matter. Thanks to horizon hobby I finally started flying 5 years ago, growing up in the 80s and poor to boot it was a dream now I fly planes and collective pitch helicopters, let me rephrase that,I fly planes and pile in the helis under power usually. However with my DX-8 and any of my 20 Eflite, Dynam, or FMS planes I have a blast whether I come back with all planes intact or not, I wish there were more fields with runways where I live but I'm happy to fly either way.
And here all this time I thought it was me that planted most of my models… ahem… I feel better knowing I am not alone. Your’s seem to have faired slightly better than some of mine… 😑 Thanks for sharing the failures along with your many successes. Merry Christmas from NorCal

I'm used to seeing balsa planes reduced to splinters and shrapnel in crashes. Some of these aircraft are amazingly resilient!
Foam really is better in a lot of ways.
The A-10 vs the ant hill is classic.

Thought i would let you know the eflight f18 blue angel has issues with the.left rear stab i know i have one and from right out of the box it was that way had the hobby shop i bought mine from bring in a new jet and it was the same way. And then the brought in another one and the same thing so what i did was put clear nail polish over the stab pin mount and that took away the slop and fixed it from coming loose
The jet you saw here is the Freewing 90mm, not the FMS/E-flite 80mm.

Man I do rc rock crawling and get heated when I break a axle or something simple. I can't imagine having to pretty much start from scratch if a mishap happens! Id be heart broken seeing my bird go down after endless hours of modeling and preparation! Still awesome though 😎👉
What do you think of the Horizon F18 ? is it a good flyer.
