    Love this video, especially the back half (TED talk)
    It sounds like the human-generated accounts you've built provide value to you beyond the money. The notion that the nature or character of your business relationships matters is compelling. Part of the dream of running a creative small business is a response to the alienation that's almost universal in corporate life. If so, then perhaps making human connections with your vendors and end customers is part of the point of the business. Further, insofar as art is a coming together, a communication, and an expression, personal interactions and relationships are at the core of your endeavor.
    Money is necessary but not sufficient. I'm sure you could make more money in a corporate environment, but in choosing this path you've asserted that what you do, who you do it for, and how you fill your days has significance and value beyond the bottom line.

      I feel like if I made this video 3 minutes longer, this would be what I would add, but you articulated it much better! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It validated my decision to listen to my gut and scrap my original “business-y” script to discuss the human side of business, in a world of automation and efficiency maximization.

    I agree with importance of human connection. There are so many businesses out there doing the same thing and the only thing that separates "your business" from thier is customer service, its all about relationship building and community period!

    As a Sales Director at a Vendor, i have continuously pushed against the Leadership Team to retain my team of outside reps rather than shed them in place of Faire - i think both Faire and Outside Reps can work in synergy if you utilize tools and protocol that ensures no sales rep feels slighted for work done and that you are accommodating those retailers who prefer the convenience of the platform. Ultimately i completely co-sign with you on the user experience does not equate to relationships and that will always matter, as it always has. Period.

      thank you for providing your industry perspective! Agreed and I hope they figure out a way to humanize the experience more as automation isn’t always better at all cost.

    I put a lot of thought into the best way to market my art products. I am an interior designer, artist and small scale urban flower farmer. In the end my strategy is/was to start an urban flower farm channel on TH-cam, which I did Jan. 1st. On Black Friday or there about, I will launch my first Etsy product and promote it through my TH-cam subs first, with a limited supply of product for this first launch season.
    This seems to work for a few channels that I follow who sell out pretty quickly to subs who are looking to support them, with products that the subs don't actually create themselves. Fingers crossed my strategy will work.

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like you did put a lot of thought into this, and is a sound plan. TH-cam marketing is definitely a long game, but because it requires so much more work than say, joining a marketplace, it takes longer to see results but the results are more sustainable. Good luck to you and thanks for watching!

    That’s so interesting and true to hear about your view on human experience vs user experience. What are your thoughts or experience in paying reps to help you find retailers to sell your products wholesale vs finding retailers yourself? I am curious about wholesale and love how you articulate everything so well in your videos!

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! Hiring wholesale reps is also a viable way to grow wholesale outside of a platform or pounding the pavement yourself. However from my understanding, you will need to grow to a baseline of stockists before the reps will be willing to work with you, which goes back to needing other methods of outreach.

    Do you use the video feature in the product section? If so, what kind of videos do you find or most helpful to post? Lifestyle products i.e. showing the product being used or product videos that show the box, instructions and or product tags ?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest I haven’t experimented with different video formats but the main style I use which is a close up panning of my art seems to work well. I can see it depends entirely on the product though.

    Not on topic, but thank you so much for your watercolor dragon video. Just started watercoloring today and I nailed it. It was a great confidence boost for me. I'm not new to art. Always wanted to try watercolor. It always called to me whenever I saw it. But never tried because the idea of trying a new medium that I wasn't familiar with was ..honestly scary to me. Glad I tried today. Glad I found your video. Subscribed, and hoping you find time in your busy days to do others videos like that one. I whole heart wish you the best with your lovely art. Thank you for being a great inspiration for me. With abundant love.

    Hello , I have a lot of big brand name greeting cards that I want to sell online but don’t want to spend 4-5 dollars to send a card with tracking. What is the best place to list cards for sale and best method to ship with tracking yet inexpensive.

      @@billzeng9110 Follow up and ask again. I don't have special access to Faire, but in the past rejection reasons could include: too many sellers in the category you're in, not enough online presence proving legitimacy, sometimes they may need to see that you have existing retailers although I heard they may have removed that requirement.
