I remember the first time I played this mission, I saw the old lady with a gun when using the mirror on the corner of the house. She died after I threw a flashbang, I guess from a heart attack... but you had to shoot her in that situation anyway because when you slice pie around the corner, she tries to shoot your partner as he's trying to talk her into putting the gun down.

I'd love to see more. You don't need to put the gun away to move if you use slice the pie commands instead of arrows. As for the radio, you need to tell the floor too. So ground is level 1 and the left side of the house there is side 2. This wasn't an easy game by any means but it's really cool. I remember doing the first sniper call and calculating desperately as the wind changed twice while waiting for orders to shoot.
I really have to admit, for a time when they needed to produce something that "felt" realistic but the technology wasn't there yet; this was a brilliant way to present a game. Same tactic they used on the Panasonic 3D0...
Oh shit!!! I remember this!!! This is back when PC games would come with Grapes of Wrath sized manuals filled with real life distance charts, wind velocity graphs, CQB theory, and equipment stats that were related to the game's topic... but were absolutely useless in game. OMG I still remember the first mission... my first run I used a breaching shotgun on the front door and ended up shooting the crazy old lady on the other side of the door, lol.
I love the swat games. I started on swat 2, went to swat, and then swat3, and swat 4. I'm really hoping ready or not will be great a fill that swat void
you need to slice the pie devildog!! No seriously, I think you need to scoll the bottom bar again to get that option. You'll be getting a lot more movement options if I recall. Haven't played that game in well.. 20 years? Also, the radio was super finnicky. You needed to select the exact option the game wanted for it to work.
I absolutely loved this game. The cut scenes were funny as shit! I remember there was a game that had to do with the JFK assignation I played around this same time.
I had this game back in the day until my PC ate the disk. I was playing it when I heard a strange noise come from the disk drive and the disk tray lurched out of the case and pieces of the disk went flying. Needless to say, had to buy a whole new disk drive and new cd for the game.
I remember this game bugging out on the second mission EVERY FUCKING TIME. Restart: fail Refrag: fail New hardware: fail New copy of game: fail My best memory of the game was the FMV of “SOUNDS LIKE THE FAT’S IN THE FIRE”
I think the missions are random each time you play them I remember the crazy old grandma with a gun mission where you can finish it in one screen. Some walkthroughs have people clearing the entire house before finding her. Yeah you do have to watch a tutorial and read the manual to play this game.
Steam notifications are freaked out by you using old software!.. I loved Police Quest 1 and the old sierra games, but the disapointment that you never got to arrest Larry Laffer..
Lol i remember playing this when i was like fucking six or something. I never got past this mission with the old lady smoking me but man i always wondered if i would have done better some im older now lol.
Games were so boring those days with actual people being put in the games, or just videos playing in the background and you control a car.. Gotta say, SWAT 2 was way better. Also the guy wants you to move to the left, in a way that the average joe can understand it. He even points haha.
Lol that old lady with the gat

Yeah that was a wild and grossly mishandled situation.

I wish I played this when I was young, this is amazing. Games with this amount of detail are so damn rare it makes me want to pull my hair out.
And this shit was on a disc with 4mb :D
And things was way funnier in the past like Z, with general zod 😂
I think at the time the fmv thing was probably amazing but the game itself I didn't find very fun to play.

Can we just agree Sierra was an amazing game dev or publisher. (Not sure which)
I loved the Sierra fishing game
Tribe was awesome
Justin Hughes The fishing game was amazing! I don't know why, but fishing in Sierra and other games like far cry and rdr2 is so relaxing as well.
I was addicted to their pinball games. Especially the Dinosaur Island one.
This was probably one of their stinkers out of many good titles.
9:45 coffin dance meme fits here PERFECTLY

I started on SWAT 3 and just beat swat 1 and 2 recently. 2 is so much better than 1.
@@8166PC1I'd love to see a modern swat 2

I remember skipping briefings in this game and getting yelled at, funny as hell but it was pretty new
I remembering playing this on an Amiga 500.
When I remember right you got to choose from the pre selected rows.
Closed
Door
Lvl 1
Side 2
SWAT 3 was the best one.
I could watch you play this game for hours lol
Nostalgia overload! I used to play the shit out of this game! Thanks for the memories!
"instructions unclear, 9mm stuck in grandma"
Didn't watch it all.. But the like is deserved for Sierra Police Quest series! Played these on my 286 and 686 computers lol
Seeing this video took me back to when I used to play S.W.A.T. 3 Elite Edition. That game was fucking AWESOME!
man the graphics look so real
Brings back memories. My brother and i played the shit out of this
God this took me back to my childhood
I absolutely loved this game. The cut scenes were funny as shit! I remember there was a game that had to do with the JFK assignation I played around this same time.
Yup reelect JFK. Loved that game!
Bro this was my shit I swear the first mission hostage was impossible as a 10 year old hahahah
Are you 33? I literally had the same experience lol and I would try the same thing over and over and over and not get anywhere haha
HAHAHAH THE GRANDMA WAS PACKING BRUH
I got this after the original police quest, it was an amazing game at the time
hahaha I spent maybe 2 months on the first mission, I just couldn't figure it out. This is awesome.
Dude devil is so close to a million he deserves that shit
holy shit I forgot about this game, I played it a lot as a kid. Thanks for reminding me Devil!
Phantasmagoria is my favourite OG Sierra game. Was super creepy as a kid
I had this game back in the day until my PC ate the disk. I was playing it when I heard a strange noise come from the disk drive and the disk tray lurched out of the case and pieces of the disk went flying. Needless to say, had to buy a whole new disk drive and new cd for the game.
Ohhh my, throw back to the early days lolz
Oh man, I totally forgot about this game... I remember playing at least the demo if not the whole game... Its been a LONG time.
Morreeeee hahah I gotta know how that first mission is really supposed to go
I remember when i was in my schools library i just randomly found a book called swat 2 i read it and that's how i got here
Grew up on this masterpiece
I remember the isometric swat from when I was a kid.
Correction: This game was released in 1995 not 1998. SWAT 2 was 1998.
I had this game! God this takes me back!
LOL I only played SWAT 3 and 4 didn't know that the original looked like this.
Great game. Thanks for the flashback.
Maybe it was lock door Left side?
9:44 meme moment
My first SWAT was SWAT 2, it was certainly fun back then. I was never able to get my hands on SWAT 1.
no active pause made swat 2 a nightmare
3 was my first. 1 I don't care for too much, but I love 2 as I do 3.
@@kungfuchef8500 Yes, it was. I wonder why they didn't decide on an X-Com style system?

How about "Locked door left side"?
Damn dude if only cops actually believed what the sergeant says after they shoot the old lady.
Gate Locked ,YES.
This and flight simulator 98 are the first pc games I ever played.
oh jesus it's like the annual Cyber Awarness Marinenet thing
Wait, at 3:00 is that the guy from Django?

A true classic
OMG bro I literally grew up with this game, I am so psyched you played it! That old granny haunted my dreams!
I loved this game when i was young
Why was the cop at 6:24 wearing a choker? lol
It is a neck strap mount for a tactical throat mic.
The LASH system - this game made us all fucking experts! And I still haven’t forgotten my lessons.
9:45 WTF?! (RIP)
The little mirror for under the door
Why is the first mission at the house from Malcolm in the Middle?
Steam notifications are freaked out by you using old software!..

this is such a meme
RAM then side ONE TWO > Transmit
This game was SO HARD!
This shit was great. I love the SWAT games. But never knew this one existed. Why nobody told me. :)
True classic.
The lack of ground shadow really bugs me
Back in the day we didn't have realtime shadows it was all baked or vertex lighting.

I remember watching Jerma playing this game, that old lady is a beast lol
