    They don’t offer rental rewards anymore. Unless you have another source of income, renting a car via lyft is no longer worth it. You will work harder almost 60hours/week just to make $500. I did this for 2 years and slowly Lyft has changed drastically. No bonuses no streaks. I’m in the Atlanta market.

      Wow. Detroit area must be really good. After only 40 hours I usually have $1100 without bonuses. Now that bonuses are back. It's about 1300-1400. So 60 hours would probably be around 16 to $1700 bucks. Or maybe it's because I drive lyft XL? But I swear I don't get that many XL rides

      I am also in the Atlanta Market. I agree with you 100% something else that people don't mention is the personal miles. It's really not worth it if you are at the end of a long day driving (12 hours) the application will close on you because you are only allowed to drive at most 12 hours per day. When you drive home this will be deducted from your personal miles. You go over your personal model you will be charged period that happened to me tonight. I had finished my day at 6:30 p.m. and was driving home when the application cut off. I had to wait six hours, 12:30 a.m., to be able to drive home without being charged I am really unhappy with the rental program.

      I wonder if things have just changed because 60 hours for $500 sounds insane 🤔 I'm new myself, I started almost a month ago and really don't drive much but I just drove 25 hours last week and earned $1,030

  • @misterliquidcity

    From what i was told rewards are not even offered everywhere. Here in Indiana they do not give you rental rewards at all. I was told that some new rental rewards will be offered after first of year. But as of now there are no rewards.

      @davidcook1610 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      That's a 5 year loan and a busy driver will do 10,000 miles a month so in two years your car has 250,000 miles on it and is near worthless but you still have 3 years of payments left...

I can't buy a car right now, so what are my rental options? I looked into HyreCar but they are too expensive and there's never a vehicle near me. They are too far away. Does that count the same as making the whole 260 in tryna figure out how soon can you get accesss to the money your making

    If you all don't want to wait then they shouldn't have 10 min window times. If you have to be at work at 8:45 am and you can only pick 8:20-8:30 or 8:30-8:40 and it's a 10 min ride, you have to pick 8:20-8:30 so if you show up at 8:20 you should have to wait til 8:30. The company shouldn't give a time frame and not make the driver stick to it but force the customer too.

    they take an extra. 25% from you from your earnings the normal 25% that they take and you keep the 75% with the rental there actually taking like 52% instead of 25% That's one thing they don't tell you. I'm not sure if they do it in every City, but they definitely do in Orlando easiest way to find out look and see what they charge the customers Per mile And then subtract what you're earning that'll give you the percentage they're taken from you. Like here in Orlando, they charge the customers $0.82 per mile and I'm only getting paid $0.36 per mile that's more then 50% that there taking And now also there's NO bonus to earn to help with that monthly. Outrageous fee

You can be the nicest driver but there is always a client who lives under a rock in the planet of Neptune that’s has no clue of the real world.. It’s gets ugly & those clients need to take the bus.. because those clients mess it up for great clients that need to get to work.. sad that Lyft that takes from the driver.. horrible service company

    Express cars are really only to be used when you need a rental car and want to use it long enough to pay for the rental and the gas during your rental period. It's not really good to actually make a living using one.
    It's OK to use in order to see if being a ride share driver is for you, but to earn a living? NOPE..
    You're effectively paying about $1000 a month for the use of a car and it's maintenance and insurance.
    You can buy a car and pay a lot less than that per month for the car, insurance (with ride share endorsement) and maintenance.

    You should reconstructed on cancellation . A lot of times these rides get switched now as a driver you wouldn’t know that the right was switch you’ll just get the person in order to write. On the other end if a passenger gets an alert that you will be there in 10 minutes and somewhere along the route another driver gets beams in a use a driver is removed to take a new passenger that Passenger originally thought they had 10 minutes now has three. So they lose a whole seven minutes because Lyft or Uber would normally Lyft decides to reroute a Passenger original vehicleAnd that changes the time frame. So as a driver I try to be considerate and mindful of those things

      *If he worked 40 hours at McDonalds for minimum wage, $12, his earring would be $480.
      *another 40 hours of overtime for $18, his overtime earning would be $720. With weekly gross earning of $1200 (probably with free lunch worth of $80 because he’s working two shifts).
      Lyft/Uber are getting away with so much. People are slave to their corrupt regulations. Wake up people, get a job please and do yourself a favor.

    • @TheRideshareHub
      @TheRideshareHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That’s great. Just be very diligent about your expenses and depreciation and what your PROFIT is versus your REVENUE. $100-$200 a day can be great but keep in mind all the expenses. If you’re using a rental car your main expense is gas and the cost of the rental. If you’re using a car you own you would add in the depreciation plus the wear and tear / mainentance and obviously remove the rental car cost. Best of luck to you my bro!
