Actual Polestar 2 owner here. Hopefully you've figured this out by now, but just in case, the kick sensor for the trunk is actually under the bumper. Just swipe your foot under the back of the car, and that should trigger it. The spot you kicked in the video is actually a rubber button that you're supposed to use your hand on, like any other car. Also, there is a sun shade you can get from Polestar (or Viva Performance) that helps a lot with the sun coming through the glass roof. It costs about $200 which was worth it for me, since I happen to own the car. I'm not sure what the calculus on that would be if you're just renting it. There are actually some other options available that your particular car doesn't have. One is the perforated leather interior (probably smart to avoid that in an Uber?), and the other is the Performance Pack, which adds fancy schmancy brakes and suspension. It looks cool, but I wouldn't imagine it adds much for an Uber driver, unless you regularly drive people over the Angeles Crest Highway or something.

My most recent rental didn't have one, and so I bought reusable double sided mounting tape and it did the same trick. Tablets are so easy on the eyes! I love this car!!

I use to give out water and candy until I realized people were being wasteful with the water and really didn't care, but they did like the candies.
