Everything held strong and steady from 19 until about 51. That’s when you need to start taking care of crepe skin on your body, and face just changes to someone you no longer recognize in a mirror! 😬

      I have very oily very acne prone and sensitive skin, and I do this with 0 bad effects. I do use the balm in her video tho, the La Roche Posay one, that one has a type of zinc that is also antimicrobial, so it's good for acne, and I don't put on as much as the girl in the video. It calms my irritations and makes my skin ready to receive the niancinamide I use during the day, without breaking me out.

    If you're in the UK
    Use Aveeno Nappy Cream
    With Zinc Oxide. If you are v dry.
    Or stick with the Roche Posay
    If you aren't ultra dry.
    & do NOT ruin your skin
    barrier in the first place!
    Build up slowly from 0.1%
    until you are at 2% -
    (& if you go higher then
    build up gradually - it's
    fairly simple Don't overdo
    & let yr skin get used to it.

      Exactly what @bornana comments! Dr Idriss says that you can apply only sunscreen if you are combo/oily and the sunscreen is moisturizing enough. Night, just cleanse and slap some moisturizer on damp skin. The same principle applies to hair: two braids (not too tight, obviously) with leave on conditioner or oil from mid to ends are a comfy and convenient protective style that doesn' t require daily maintenance and keeps everything nice and detangled. I know from first hand how unnataibale can be doing your skincare routine, washing your teeth, combing your hair or showering when depression hits hard. Hope it helps. My best wishes🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

      I have some spray on things for when I’m too depressed to do a skincare routine. They make several spray on facial sunscreens; you could ask at Sephora. I’ve just found a spray on moisturizer from Laneige. I bought it on Amazon. It works decently well but isn’t very heavy so it’s suitable for daytime. On my worst days if I need to leave the house, I’ll just spray on the moisturizer and after it dries, spray on the sunscreen and I’m out the door having done the best I could for that day.

Currently living the Trader Joe’s Zinc Oxide Sunscreen Lotion spf 40. At $10, I think it’s even better than the $50, $60, $75 fancy, high end sunscreen!

    I'm just the messenger (husband's a molecular biologist/chemist) and was listening to this video while I was scrolling thru TH-cam and wanted to share this info:
    Make sure to use antioxidants with any zinc product that doesn't have de- radicalizing countering agents [some sunscreens with zinc do already]
    Zinc products need to be de-radicalized. Free radical forming compounds:Zinc Oxide happen in reaction to sunlight.
    and can cause rapid skin aging along with other issues.

    • @thatlibertygal

      @thatlibertygal
      After looking around, this seems to be a good product, I'll have to get a second opinion in a couple of hours.
      Paula's Choice
      RESIST
      Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
      Basically, any product that is an antioxidant combo of vitamin C E and
      Ferulic acid. Maybe even Resveratrol Silymarin and Phloretin are good for sun/skin damage, all while fighting those free radicals that cause the skin damage. Pair these (that product above should help) with a zinc oxide product or sunscreen and it should do the job, also maybe a moisturizer too would be helpful to pair (if this product is too dry feeling).

    • @NoraS-K
      @NoraS-K 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I believe you'd put this on 1st after cleansing your face, then maybe a moisturizer, if needed. Then, a zinc oxide topping and / or a zinc oxide sunscreen.
      Adding it under will help basically shield that skin barrier from the breakdown of the zinc oxide, which will protect from sun and free radical skin damage.

    I’ve been doing this per your recommendation and tbh my mom was preaching this way back but I thought she was just saying it as one of her home remedies (which i believe 50/50) I thought it was silly to use butt cream on ur face. But coming from a doctor I was more inclined to use it and it’s the only thing that’s been helping my dry/dehydrated/compromised barrier Ty so much ❤ , I have the exact same little water diffuser I’ll try using that with the glycerin like u reccomended next! (Cosrx snail serum and cosrx retinol just got in the mail yesterday) was using sailcreme when the 10 step kbeauty routine went viral but upkeep with that routine just got too expensive so I just slowly started not using it anymore. But I’m 26 and never had acne in my life and suddenly I been breaking out on my forehead and chin like crazy. The acne spots are kinda cute tho 😂❤
