    Have to go with Remark on this one. Such a distinct, deep note to pull out of the 1.5 and with a price that beats out the competition by an average of 25%+ without compromising on material quality... it's why I've got one on order. That being said, I bet it has the worst drone, and it's super cool to see you guys post up a video like this given that you're comparing yourselves to the competition without displaying any kind of bias.

      @oppos727 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@dimitridesforges4656 so it shipped in the day after you commented. Put a few hundred miles on the car with the catback installed. The drone's very tolerable. It's veryyy intrusive when accelerating between 1200-2000rpm, and it's also intrusive when off-throttle, when the revs drop through the 3500-4000 mark. Outside of that, steady state cruising beyond 2000 is fine, so don't worry about going insane on your commute. I put a short up on my channel. Will probably post more.

      I own a hatchback touring, and so far I've only seeen Remark's 'hatchback touring' specifically made for that car/trim, which is a 4-exit exhaust. From what I can tell the rear is different, at least on the touring the stock exhaust pokes through a chrome 'ring' where as all the SI pics here, they look to have more room. Not an expert at all! Just been slowly snooping the market for ones that fir the hatch touring!

    Hey, a jpipe resonator they say cancels out drone sound but also gives more power because of more airflow. Is this right? I'm not talking about a downpipe it's a jpipe welded on to the exhaust

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello there! There's a few different variants of exhaust that can achieve minimal drone. We're currently working on a front pipe section with a goal of little to no-drone in mind. Yes, adding more airflow out of your engine into the rest of your exhaust will allow your car to breathe, thus allowing for more power opportunity. I hope this answers your question.

      I would strongly recommend not modding that particular car. It will make it very difficult to resell because it's strongly positioned in the "economy" market. Anyone shopping for a used NA civic sport is thinking fuel efficiency and getting from A to B. Putting an aftermarket exhaust will be less appealing to them. Likewise, anyone shopping for a "fun" Civic will grab a Type R or SI or they will go for an older model of civic that can handle more power

      Catbacks don't require any tune as they are "cat-back" meaning the car doesn't even know it's there. Intakes typically require a tune but some on the market can get by without one, you just won't see any power gain then.
