The lifetime warranty was probably sold by the dealership so that he has to do all his service at that dealership. It’s the dealerships way of ensuring they make money from the servicing of the vehicle while knowing the statistics of most cars are sold within 3-5 years of ownership and they’ll never have to actually cover it. It’s a lot more common with dealerships than it used to be.

The only thing that is better about the 11th gen is the rev-matching and the interior other than the lack of heated seats. No active dampers, the shortened final drive ('20+) sucks, especially for autocross and you specifically mentioned it, the steering is "light to the touch" which is basically the opposite of what you want from an Si. As far as the Bose sound system, my only issue is the lack of an EQ that allows you to really fine tune the sound. I just traded in a car with an aftermarket head unit, aftermarket speakers, an amp driving the speakers, and a subwoofer (with a separate amp obviously driving the subwoofer). The stock Bose system has plenty of power. The problem is that you can’t really fine tune the sound like I could with the aftermarket head unit because all that you can do is turn the bass, midrange or treble up or down. The factory head unit is fully integrated into the car’s operation and functionality, so I must keep it, but I’m wondering whether there’s a way to add an EQ to the system.
Great video, I test drove and it was nice and composed, interior was amazing too. There was a small markup but nothing crazy, almost but the bullet. Dude! I have been wanting to drive a 2022 WRX!! When I get the BRZ back, we should *test them out* if you know what I mean :) but yea I would love to make a review too in the meantime
I’m looking at getting one of these as my first manual. I currently have a 17 Corolla CVT (bleh). My brother drives a 2013 Mazda3 6mt and every time I drive it it makes me wish I had bought a stick. As long as I can find one that’s not marked up
I think the best choice is to get the 11 gen Si instead of the type R cus the mark up price is crazy and with that you can buy a turbo and slap it on and I’m sure it will make the same amount of power.
nah, the type r is very different from the si. You could make the si as fast as the type r in a straight line, but it will never have the same type of driving feel as the type r. The way the type r corners, the si will never be able to, even with the aftermarket suspension.
@@edwint1780 Throttle house was not too impressed with the steering feel. And for those of us that don't track, I bet a tuned Si would be pretty sweet for our daily commutes.
Is the 10th and 11th gen si comparable to your old 9th gen fast wise? I have a 9th gen but I’d love to get a 10th gen or 11th but I’m not sure if it’ll be too much faster. I got a 206 whp 9th gen.
My current 10th gen with a tsp stage 1 tune would blow the doors off my 9th gen with full bolt on’s plus vit viper tune. Once you slap a tune on 10th and 11th gens it really wakes the car up.
Am i the only one that hates the way the si seats look? I think it’s the color i don’t like.. just bought a 22 civic sport. But i really want the si or if i can swing it the integra type s. Great video!
@2:36 - You have a Bose sound system in here. YES. that's a Touring/Sport Touring trims thing. Better then most cars this price range is what you should say. Mazda's CX-30 is better but not by much.
When I bought my 10th gen si a few months ago, it ended up blowing the head gasket in like 2 months. Got a cometic head gasket and ARG head bolts now, so it wasn’t a total loss. But I was lucky enough to do it myself.
Hey Cam I would love to know if he paid MSRP for the civic si?? Or did he get screwed with a $5k markup!? Love the video and mis your cat Cleo in your videos 😂
I'll be sure to have Cleo in the next video! I think he did pay a small markup for it. Kind of tough to find one for MSRP in Florida so I can't blame him
I finally got my Blazing Orange Pearl on 10/30 of this year and love that car. Doug Demuro dissed it. No way...what is wrong with that guy? EVERYONE else raves about it. I waited YEARS. It was well WORTH the wait... Originally I was going to get a 10th Generation 2020 2 door in 2019/2020 but that window closed. So glad I got the 11th Gen. after all...
I live in tampa as well and have an 11th gen in Aegean blue. I wanted this grey color but the first dealership I went to that had it was asking over 40k+ for it and wouldn’t negotiate 🤢 I have yet to see another 11th gen Si on the road in the Tampa Area.
You probably have seen these around your area Cam but thought you were looking at a Accord. As for the interior dash. It looks nice until dust settles in that honeycomb-ish type design that you'll probably never get all out. I do agree about the exhaust tips though. & please quit calling it "Dual Exhaust". Hi, I have a 10th gen sedan from 2019 and I have a exedy stage 2 clutch and rebuilt tranny with a new second counter shaft and 4th gear replaced and it pulls currently saving for a tune
That shift knob is the absolute ugliest shift knob I've ever seen. The stock one feels and looks good idk why he put some baseball golf club looking thing knob on there
If you ever find yourself out in Colorado I’d love to have ya review my Pontiac G8 haha
7:30 I just freaking lost it, I didn’t expect that at all 😂😂😂 lmfaoooo, gotta do what you gotta do
Cam - Dawg, your face is soo funny while driving. You both just having a normal conversation when I know your literal visual perspective is a giant go pro between your nose and eyes, LMAO. too funny! I bet he thought about laughing
Its what I have to do for the POV! Speaking of that, I need a new GoPro. This one was freaking out when the sun was in our faces
@@Camhill182 fasho! Touche, definitely time then.
Great review. Would love to see a 2023 Civic Si vs 2023 Mustang Ecoboost.
You guys looked related nest 2 each other in car lol
They kinda have the same vibe to on how they talk and act haha
Been waiting for this video
@cameron hill Not gonna lie I would love more car reviews from you. Something nice about the way you do these that's not overly dramatic and full of technicals.
I'll do more. I always enjoy reviewing cars even though I don't have the production value that the dedicated review channels do. Its just fun to drive other cars and get more perspective
@@Camhill182 Yea that's what we like about your reviews, you seem like you're having fun and its very personable.
Cam, I’ve got a 2020 WRX STI Base and a 2022 WRX Limited in Downtown Orlando sitting in my parking garage if you ever need some wheels for content.
Dude! I have been wanting to drive a 2022 WRX!! When I get the BRZ back, we should *test them out* if you know what I mean :) but yea I would love to make a review too in the meantime
Get a Ktuner , I’ve permanently disabled the auto start stop on my rdx with the Ktuner
As an owner of an FBO 11th gen Si, it is not worth it to put money. Save that money and get the new Type R 🫶🏽😊
I did a ktuner on my car and soon will be installing a high flow intake on my 11th gen.si and I’m located in riverview
Love your vids cam
Thank you
There is a harness that automatically turns off auto stop start when started, project717 guy installed one on his sport
Is the 10th and 11th gen si comparable to your old 9th gen fast wise? I have a 9th gen but I’d love to get a 10th gen or 11th but I’m not sure if it’ll be too much faster. I got a 206 whp 9th gen.
They’re all right next to each other in stock form
My current 10th gen with a tsp stage 1 tune would blow the doors off my 9th gen with full bolt on’s plus vit viper tune. Once you slap a tune on 10th and 11th gens it really wakes the car up.
@@TheBeebop420 yeah, I know, I meant my 206whp to a stock one like the video. 9th gens are pretty slow lol
@@justaturtle6790 yeah they’re pretty much the same stock
Am i the only one that hates the way the si seats look? I think it’s the color i don’t like.. just bought a 22 civic sport. But i really want the si or if i can swing it the integra type s. Great video!
Things blow up after 250whp,if you start
Start messing with them
@2:36 - You have a Bose sound system in here. YES. that's a Touring/Sport Touring trims thing. Better then most cars this price range is what you should say. Mazda's CX-30 is better but not by much.
Really want a new si but really dread dealerships. Has always given me sketchy vibes
When I bought my 10th gen si a few months ago, it ended up blowing the head gasket in like 2 months. Got a cometic head gasket and ARG head bolts now, so it wasn’t a total loss. But I was lucky enough to do it myself.
Im with you. I despise dealerships
Hello Cori. Welcome to the channel. Cameron is a Kool guy
FK 8 will stay as Legend ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cam I have a 2022 Veloster N I'd be down to have you review if you're ever back in the Maine area
Great video 👍🏼
On paper, appears to be an approximate facsimile to my ’06 TSX. Want to test one.
Not sure but Im liking the old type R coz this one looks like an accord with hood scoop
The 11th Gen Si looks to me 98% like an Accord 😅 Baby Accord
Great Job Cameron
Thanks Ronnie
I've always had Accords and my brother has always had Civics. He said that's the only reason I love the 11th Gen, because it looks like an Accord. 🤣
Hey Cam I would love to know if he paid MSRP for the civic si?? Or did he get screwed with a $5k markup!? Love the video and mis your cat Cleo in your videos 😂
I'll be sure to have Cleo in the next video! I think he did pay a small markup for it. Kind of tough to find one for MSRP in Florida so I can't blame him
I paid 34k OTD so about a 3-4k markup.
Doug also is used to driving his sports cars and reviewing many other top notch vehicles, so his perspective is broken compared to the average Joe.
@@Camhill182 He also disliked the Elantra N and stated the WRX felt sportier…?
would love for you to review other civic si’s!
Dope video ! I still can’t believe the US model didn’t get the fully digital dash like the Canadian one did. Still a nice car tho 👌🏼
@Cameron Hill what brand/model dash cam are you running on the type R?
Vantrue N2 Pro. Get the N4 though
@Cameron HIll trade in the BRZ for it when you get it back.
This 👍
New viewer, are you based out of Tampa?
I live in tampa as well and have an 11th gen in Aegean blue. I wanted this grey color but the first dealership I went to that had it was asking over 40k+ for it and wouldn’t negotiate 🤢 I have yet to see another 11th gen Si on the road in the Tampa Area.
Gonna go see an 11th gen in gray today in Miami, can’t wait to see what the markup is…
CamHSquad wants an 11th gen R but it’s $65,000 for one🥺
CamHSquad should start a fundraiser
@@BitcoinTo100K what did Honda pro do

I want a 11th gen si but they want 40k for one
You probably have seen these around your area Cam but thought you were looking at a Accord. As for the interior dash. It looks nice until dust settles in that honeycomb-ish type design that you'll probably never get all out. I do agree about the exhaust tips though. & please quit calling it "Dual Exhaust". They are not.
There’s two exhaust ports right? It’s dual exhaust.
Saw another video where the motor blew not even pushing it lol. Not tuner friendly as people think
