I think I'm going to do mining and enchanting on a belf paladin. Then eventually drop mining for smithing since I already have mining on another character
Mining and enchanting are nice while leveling, you get to farm ores and motes, plus you get to DE all items you replace or that are not upgrade. But selling ores might prove harder perhaps due to many miners at start :D Nevertheless it can be lucrative so gg! :D
i just started classic about a week before tbc and i just hit 60. i was gonna go lw and skinning but everyone is saying lw doesnt really make good gold and isnt really useful anymore so now im suck on what professions to do.
LW is hard to market yeah, not impossible, but hard, cuz ppl wil rather buy mats or farm leather with skinning then buying whole gear pieces. Mining and jewelcrafting, even herbing and alchemy isnt bad combo or some farming profession with tailoring. Also, Cooking and fishing can yield some money once leveldup :D
Really nice video mate! Would like to ask as someone who never played TBC before what do you think would be the best combination to go as a hunter? Should I go with LW/skinning, LW/Enchanting or maybe Alch/Herbalism? Or maybe you would suggest something else. Thank you.
Cheers! I am glad you liked it! As hunter having LW and skinning is way to go in my opinion. Even with nerfed drums, you got nice items to go for, or whole sets :D As for skinning, well you really need it anyway for skilling up lw. As for making money with those, Id suggest to combine it with Cooking more. Farm leather, get items for yourself, cook meat (str food, agi food, spell dmg food) and sell it. Sell Hides and special leathers to others. Hunters are awesome for fast mob grind and tagging while pet is tanking. Especially troll hunters :D So, yeah, as hunter that would be my #1 combo, but depending on your playstyle, you can get enchanting perhaaaaps if you like grinding dungeons, but for that you gotta win the roll on item xd Next thing (sorry for long comment lol trying to get everything) is if you are going for raiding with guild, hardcore or semi hardcore from start, or not at all. Cause if you are going raiding you would want to go for quick money (if you dont have bunch from Vanilla) with skinning and cooking, and then LW for your own gear pieces and possible selling. Again, dungeon grinding for primal nethers can help craft some LW pieces for selling. phew..i think i explained my PoV on that, but looking forward for your reply :D

I’m maining hunter and heard some good advice. Beast master set is all you need. LW crafts will not really be needed. I’m going here and alch because it is always a solid reliable money maker.

I was thinking these days a lot, because I would like to pick professions that will fit to my playstyle and as someone who is not a lot in the open world I will go with LW/Enchanting. Enchanting is really good profession if youre doing a lot of dungeons and spending time in the cities, and LW can almost guarantee you a spot in PUG raids because of the drums, plus making armor kits can be profitable as well (as you can see I love that life of enchanter :) ). But, as I heard in TBC every profession is good, if fits to your playstyle.

What about leg armour enchants? They should be in demand and it could potentially be the way to make gold with lw.
