Li Yugang is a famous Chinese opera singer for the Peking Opera. He sings the traditional female roles. 'Drunken Concubine' tells the story of the Emperor (Dimash) and the concubine (Li Yugang). The Emperor is sentencing the concubine to death (maybe for treason?) and the concubine reminds him of the wonderful time that they had together getting drunk. The Emperor wishes that they could have one more drunken time together. In between they sing 'Diva Dance'. This is a fantastic one of a kind duet! Surprising at 1st and then it really grows on you and you'll want to watch/listen to it again and again. Thank you for this review.

’The Drunken Concubine’’ is a story that is said to have happened in the Tang Dynasty emperor Ming-Huang. Yang Yu-Huan was the favorite among all of the emperor's concubines. They arranged a rendezvous one evening in the imperial gardens. After waiting a long time, Yang realizes that the emperor had made plans with another concubine. This humiliation makes her angry and depressed at the same time, which leads to her getting drunk all by herself. (Wiki helped). 🌼🇩🇪

Li is a fantastic singer, he performs in a traditional Chinese Opera were males sing both male n female parts ( can't remember official name of this genre) Dimash is playing part of the master, why he is more powerful performing. Li is playing part of a cuncbine who is seeking release from master. I love the last part were they are singing together, very pretty.

In Drunken Concubine Dimash and Li Yu Gang, present us by way of dialogue, the tragic love story between a famous Concubine (represented by Li Yu Gang) of the Chinese imperial court and the emperor (represented by Dimash) for that reason the two thrones in the stage. The Concubine dies poisoned as a result of the intrigues of enemies in the imperial court. The emperor is sentencing the Concubine to death (the vocal fry part)The Concubine reminds the Emperor of happy times together but does not change the outcome, the death of the Concubine. In between they sing 'Diva Dance. The last part of this performance with Drunken Concubine, is really gorgeous: how their voices surround each other and their tones blend in one another and created great harmony. Really beautiful.

The song tells about a girl who was given as a gift to the emperor because of being so pretty. It was a honour but when expecting to be called by the emperor she had to get dunk so as to think that she was going to be with her love who stayed in her natal Great Tang
