The way he moves (knees bent together and those "meows" have a special meaning in the traditional opera). The Diva Dance is from the movie The Fifth Element and was constructed so that no human could sing it, yet Dimash does. He also does it solo. So what sounded weird to you sounds weird to many, but it allows the classic style to interact with Dimash effectively. The first time I listened to this I simply couldn't "hear" it. There was no comprehension, my brain just wouldn't do it. Took 3-4 times before I could actually hear and understand the notes playing off of each other. I figure it was just so new to my brain that it had no way decipher it, and I needed to lay down some additional neural network links to do it, LOL! Marcelito is a good singer but he needs to train super hard for many more years. Dimash is the big star with high caliber already. No one called someone an artist if that person has NO flavor and identity of themselves for the uniqueness! Dimash is the whole another level, many aspects of voices, many genres, handsome, tall charisma, strong stage presence, plays many instruments and sings in many languages, make cover songs for his own versions and still sounds so epic! Performed many stages and many his own concerts. I mean Dimash is the phenomenal vocalist of many years!!

I guess no, I said he is talented , that’s why He joined American Got Talent, and it is perfect for him and what he can do. Do I really consider him as an artist? Maybe not ...yet.
What I mean is when we all join a competition, no one cares what your background really is, whoever shows the most skills and talents, they will win. So not too good to pull the background of where you are from, how you live... does not make it fair really for those who studied and trained a lot.

for Li Yu Gang 李玉刚~ he is a special "category" in real Peking／Beijing Opera called "nandan", it's really amazing. traditionally NO females are allowed on stage, so all parts were performed by men. they not only train their voices, also dancing, acting, gestures etc... I personally still prefer male performers (nan dan) but they r getting rarer as of course it is more difficult to train ^^
