Have been using it for years and currently on boarding vacation. The new interface is amazing and looks great. Have been easy for quick glances of daily mileage and high speed and last run speed. Love it
Love the Slopes app and the integration into Strava. The only weird thing is the going up a lift being synced to Strava. Doesn’t seem to work like Slopes
I used the Slopes for years even with AW series 2. I am now using Garmin but found out during my last holiday that Slopes is crashing on my old AW3 in use by my daughter.
Had the same issue with my series 4. I fixed it by updating to watchos 10, BUT, if you cannot do that, I also found that starting it in certain places worked.
I would also love Des' opinion on this. I can only speak for my Epix Pro Gen2 native snowboarding activity and it is fantastic. I have no issues monitoring basically every metric Des reviews with the Slopes app plus easy sensor contact with my wrist during runs for heart rate monitoring as well. My jacket interfaces nicely with my watch then my glove with no problem. Another huge positive for Garmin, in my experience, is that the buttons can be used without removing your gloves unlike the touchscreen on the Ultra! Additionally, you can control music either directly from the watch as a source or simply use it to control your phone's music/podcasts/etc. I have an iPhone 14 Pro for reference and it works seamlessly.
A bit of an offtopic, but this might be good for another video - what is the ski option for a combination of Garmin Epix series and Android? I am thinking of buying a Garmin. Apart from that I have been using Slopes on my phone for 2 years and I am really happy with it. After the runs, I am pushing the data to Strava (although I see a lot of the metrics a bit off in Strava, like the total distance is bigger, it seems that Strava is not recognising the chairlifts like slopes. so I use it mostly for a logbook but when I check the actual metrics, I go to slopes) Dies Garmin have integration with Slopes? Or is there some other option you would recommend? Also, have you tried comparing on the phone using Slopes for tracking vs using only Strava? Is it any good or it is better to stick to slopes?
Supposedly Apple has pulled the Apple Watch & Ultra Watch from the market due to a patent infringement by Apple of the oxygen percent measurement. The watch SE is still available.

Very good video. I would like to know how to put all that data together that is seen in the video including the heartbeat data. Thank you 🇨🇭
