@@davidkaplan5517 Actually, feelings are quite well rated. What we know about ALL wearables is that none of them are even close to 100% accurate. Moreover, the inconsistency with the accuracy across any given metric makes things even more convoluted. There’s a growing phenomenon of people over analyzing data that isn’t even particularly accurate and using that to determine how they feel and what they do with their day when your body has a built-in system that usually gives you a pretty great idea of that. How are you using your whoop to monitor and action changes to your life for your own chronic condition, based on the data the data you get?
Because its both watches at the same time (one watch for each of the two axis). E.g. when watch1 measures 10, watch2 measures exactly 10 too, its on the line. If watch2 measures anything _not_ 10 the dot will be shifted from the line.
How can I change the threshold of what is typical for sleep? Only had 4,5hrs of sleep last night and it still says typical; but I'm not feeling well rested at all.

The comparison between watches has no relevance to the app. As you alluded to, the data is showing variation between devices. There was an assumption built into the experiment that both devices are identical, where in reality, each sensor on each watch will have a manufactured tolerance. The blood O2 measurement seems to be much less accurate and have large variation, although I’m not sure how large the true variation is for reference. Definitely a control measurement would help.
Do you plan on testing the Amazfit T-Rex 3? Would love to hear your thoughts on what some people are considering a budget (and in some ways better) version of the Fenix 8
Truly appreciate the value you provide to us for free mate, amazing stuff! Very much looking forward to your ”long term review of sleep measuring accuracy” on the Ultra 2 and the series 10 now that there is a new watch OS 🤞🏼
Is there an app that you love that can combine data from an Apple Watch, 8 Sleep and other trackers into a single, high quality view of health (with recommendations)?
I remember you back from Apple Watch 4…. The moment I saw the thumbnail I immediately pressed it to see a truly scientific approach and head my way afterwards to the Apple Store.
I'm very happy with the vitals app. When I felt sick or I had too much alcohol or coffeine or a combination, then I had 1-2 metrics in the red region. Using other HRV analyzers sometimes I felt like they are giving me too much information not trustworthy. I was once super sick, vitals app showed me two im the red region, hrv tracker said I'm healthy.
Rob "from the future": one question: did you wear the watches (1 vs 2) on the same wrist for the duration of the test? Interestingly, the blood flow into each arm is somewhat different, there is a difference in blood pressure (perfusion) probably less in a young healthy active person like you. So , what I would suggest, if you have time, do a crossover.....switch the watches to the other hand for another couple of days and then analyze the crossover data.....and then, maybe average them? Cheers
I'm an open water swimmer, swim in the sea 3 times a week. My friends who swim with me, always comment to throw the Ultra 2 away and buy a "real watch" Garmin. The difference sometimes exceeds 1 kilometer on the same route. I've already taken it to Apple, they've already changed the device and it keeps making a big difference, having said that, who's right?
If readers like my idea put like. Suggestion: when you rate device from 1 to 5 stars change it or add a "TQS Index" (wich is not based on UI, Battery, personal taste but strictly on scientific math of total points, results of sensors accuracy heartbeat+spo2+sleep+exc...)
I too have been using the Athlytic app. Prior Whoop user and the information provided seems very similar. Not sure how it actually compares as I don’t have a current. Whoop device/membership to do a side-by-side comparison. Would love to see a video on this.
@@tmcfakenjust go with Athlytic, the free version shows variability for past 7-ish days and a recovery percentage, you can usually figure out what it means in the context of your training. Plus, you can set it to RMSSD that most other brands use, unlike Apple's inbuilt SDNN, which can't be changed in Health.
I agree that the Athlytic app provides helpful data. What I don't understand is why Athlytic oprrates via a subscription payment scheme. What Athlytic essentially does is take data from the Heath App on your iPhone and displays it on your Apple Watch. There is a little algorithmic activity going on too, but IMO there is nothing going on that merits a monthly fee. But until Vitals becomes a more developed and robust app I guess Athlytic can get away with this monitization scheme.
Comparison between two watches is informative, but using "center line" instead of "best fitting line" still makes more intuitive sense to me personally.

Glad to see the temperature data supports Apple's "values within 1 degree C of baseline are common."
Dude, I really enjoy this channel and find it quite informative. I continue to recommend it to my friends.
When Fenix 8 review?
The temperature measurements are accurate enough that I can very obviously see when I enter the luteal phase.
Do you plan on testing the Amazfit T-Rex 3? Would love to hear your thoughts on what some people are considering a budget (and in some ways better) version of the Fenix 8
Great video, I been wanting an Oura Ring 4 and Ultrahuman Ring Air Compairsion pretty expesive but Ultrahuman is easy to return.
Truly appreciate the value you provide to us for free mate, amazing stuff!
Very much looking forward to your ”long term review of sleep measuring accuracy” on the Ultra 2 and the series 10 now that there is a new watch OS 🤞🏼
Ringconn Gen 2 review pleasee!!
Können Sie ein Blutzuckermessgerät empfehlen? Deine Videos sind sehr gut und präzise. Vielen Dank!!

Hey Rob, will you do the Galaxy Watch 7 video? Thank you and stay safe.
Is there an app that you love that can combine data from an Apple Watch, 8 Sleep and other trackers into a single, high quality view of health (with recommendations)?
I love the attention to data and statistics in this video. Awesome!! I indeed smashed the like button👍
Please make a video on amazefit t rex 3.. i only believe you . Waiting for your review for better clarification
Interesting results, not as good as I would have hoped.
I remember you back from Apple Watch 4…. The moment I saw the thumbnail I immediately pressed it to see a truly scientific approach and head my way afterwards to the Apple Store.
Try a third party app, like welltory
Cheers
an Athyltic App vs Whoop, etc. would be very interesting
Ultra human ring review?
I'm an open water swimmer, swim in the sea 3 times a week. My friends who swim with me, always comment to throw the Ultra 2 away and buy a "real watch" Garmin. The difference sometimes exceeds 1 kilometer on the same route. I've already taken it to Apple, they've already changed the device and it keeps making a big difference, having said that, who's right?
Perfect timing. Thanks Doc
Could you recommend a ring with minimum stats, preferably with NFC, and no subscription fees? Keep up the great work! Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland.
Maybe Ultrahuman ring
He's only been reviewing the aura ring for some time now. I myself
have the Ultrahuman Air Ring. (no subscription)
nice vid! are you planning a Fenix 8 video:)?
If readers like my idea put like. Suggestion: when you rate device from 1 to 5 stars change it or add a "TQS Index" (wich is not based on UI, Battery, personal taste but strictly on scientific math of total points, results of sensors accuracy heartbeat+spo2+sleep+exc...)
Superhuman ring?
Amezfit t-rex 3 review
The athlytic app does do all of that recovery score and body battery and does use HRV. You should review that.
@@Willem-g2tI wish apple copied the Athlytic app
I too have been using the Athlytic app. Prior Whoop user and the information provided seems very similar. Not sure how it actually compares as I don’t have a current. Whoop device/membership to do a side-by-side comparison. Would love to see a video on this.
There is Bevel as well, looking more advanced, you can test it for free
