The Welsh part is a lot more difficult and so is the part on the Isle of Man. I did the whole ACT last year on a Triumph Tiger 900, with camping gear. Although I had reasonable 50/50 tyres (MITAS E07+) I crashed the bike about 5 times per day. In rainy / mudy conditions. The parts over the Moors towards Witby where a nice and fairly easy ride
Thanks for showing ACT UK. I'm going to watch your other episodes, since one day I'll ride that stretch. Pity our ACT group prefers Southern Europe, so it'll be Italy or Croatia in 2024. And for me TET Wales and Salisbury Plain solo on my Beta Alp 200 again. Wonder why Germans are afraid of riding in Britain, it's a wonderful country with astonishing green lanes. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
I can understand why perhaps there’s caution riding off-road in the UK. Some of the Welsh lanes are technical and we are very restricted in what we can ride unfortunately. Hopefully you’ll have a fantastic time, when the sun is shining Wales is absolutely stunning 😊
I'm doing the Wales part of the ACT next week, I live in North Wales so gonna ride some of the TET down, im riding solo so going to miss some bits out, looking at this trail though I might be tempted to include this stage instead of the TET.. Great recce. Thanks.
Hi Steve, thanks very much for the lovely comment about the video! We really enjoyed that section we did, I’ll be interested to hear how you get on whichever section you decide to do. Steff and I are going to be riding the entire route fairly soon and we’ll put out a series showing it all 😊
@wanderinghonda7963 I've just done Day one and Day 2, brilliant routing to be fair, the off road sections were at my level, ie. do-able, I was on my own so nice and steady, plus the rain was pretty heavy and has only boosted my confidence, loads of fantastic scenery and small well surfaced roads, there were some main roads also, but all in all well worth the trip and well worth the few quid to pay for the routes, yes you can plan your own routes but I found following this one so much less stressful than looking for routes myself, days 3-5 next year. Keep up the good work, thank you.
@@steveh100 fantastic! Thanks for the feedback. Can’t wait to ride it (plan is to set off in a few weeks) we’ve got slightly sidetracked by the RallyMoto routes (as you may have seen) Brilliant that you found it scenic and doable. We are slightly cautious about day 1 but sounds like it’s fun
@wanderinghonda7963 the first bit where they said it took them all an hour to get up was a bit nervy... but they did it on big adventure bikes so the little Rally had no bother doing it.. just the pilot being a bit chicken 😆
Not sure if I mentioned it before but I have just pulled the trigger on a new 300 Rally, I have had GS's, GSA's and for the last 18 months an Africa Twin AS DCT ES, fantastic machine but way too heavy for off road adventures. I test rode the Husqvarna Norden 901, fantastic machine but so uncomfortable, the Aprilia 660 which is another great bike but hey the Italian reliablility would be in the back of my mind all of the time. So in my opinion there was no other choice other than the little Honda. Fingers crossed it will be here by the back end of September. Once again cracking channel and I can see you subscriber count going through the roof very soon. 👍🏻
That’s fantastic news. Congratulations on your new bike! The downside is you’ll miss the power of your other bikes but we went from GS’s then KTM790’s and we absolutely love them! I’m not sure if you saw our bike review video but it sums up our experience with them. Excited on your behalf about the new bike!!!
That looked really good! I don’t think I’ll manage this year as Andrew is busy until end of August, which is when my new baby is due! Maybe next year.. I’ll keep an eye on your vids (subscribed). 👀 Good content btw, well done! 👌
Thanks for the comment! I have to say the bit we recced was fantastic although I’ve heard the Welsh section and the Isle of Man section are somewhat tricky. I guess Steff and I will find out soon lol If you do it next year it would be awesome if you make another series. Congrats on the little one. Bank the sleep while you can!

We definitely agree with you. If you watch the UK ACT full series you’ll see we also worked hard on some of those sections 😊

Nice overview of the ACT
Thanks 😊 We did the Pyrenees ACT after the UK and I have to say the scenery was better but the UK was still fun 👍🏼
