It’s my pleasure, I hope you enjoy the series. I loved it over there. Steff wasn’t on this trip and she’s watching the series as well and already saying we both need to head north again next year 😂
Move over Steff! There’s a new star in town. 😆 I am absolutely LOVING being a Wandering Honda viewer and fan for this series, rather than being part of the travelling team. Only one problem. That wild camping and beautiful flowing trails look too good to miss out on. I think you might have to do it all over again next summer and take me with you please. 😊
Absolutely superb video.... I copied you guys on your navigation set up and I must say it works a treat! I'm off to andorra in two weeks, and then next year I'm going to do the Swedish tet. Thank you for such fantastically made video's....
We love that you find the nav set up as good as we do 🎉 Ours are still going strong after years of abuse Thank you for the lovely video comment, it genuinely motivates us to keep making videos of our travels and is really appreciated Enjoy Andorra and the stunning Pyrenees 🏔️ Hopefully the rest of the series will give a decent overview of the Swedish and Norwegian TET. I absolutely loved it
Important to know and I tell you from my own experience - in Norway it's the opposite! Almost no grocery shops are open on Sunday and not always very long hours on Saturdays 😊
What a lovely guy you are 🙏 never seen you before, but so glad the time is now…… so totally at one with nature and the here and now 🕉️🙏 Isn’t Sweden just so special? I am so fortunate to have spent a lot of time there out in the wilds with some very special Swedish friends…. In the next year or so I want to either travel over all the way up to Nord Cap in my micro camper or on my new motorcycle…. Time will tell which my journey on or in….. looking forward to the next episode… take care brother 🤗
What a lovely thing to say. Thank you! You’re right, Sweden is so special. I’m jealous you spend so much time there I thought I’d enjoy it but it surpassed my expectations. You’ll see as the series goes on I’m enjoying it more and more (apart from the weather which gets pretty bad 😂) Hopefully you’ll enjoy the rest of the series and we’ve got some fantastic other travels we’re doing this year 😊 Thanks again for the really lovely comments

It was one of my favourite journeys. I loved it, even though it wasn’t even vaguely technical or challenging riding (which I’m sure you’ll see as the series goes on) the countries are absolutely stunning. You’ll have to let me know how you get on if you head up there 😊
If I reply to this twice I’m sorry lol. TH-cam studio is playing up. Thanks for the comment. I loved this trip. Not technical but stunning countries to ride through 😊
Hi guys, well Simon, looks like the start of an amazing trip even though you've stolen Steff's mosko back pack 😂 and dry chain lube on the alpinestar7 boots game changer, looking forward to the next episode, 👍
great stuff I'm doing my bike licence and getting a rally hopefully see you on a trail somewhere looking forward to watching this series of adventure and safe travel
Fantastic! I really hope you love the bike it’s an awesome bit of kit. Enjoy the adventure and currently Steff and I are in Africa so there’s some really fun stuff coming up on the channel 😊
SO nice, travelling the small roads in both Sweden and (my homeland) Norway! Could have shown you more places and "roads" in the Norwegian part of "Finnskogen" (where I live), if I had known you were here... But your video have given me ideas of new places to travel - even with my Gold Wing (or perhaps in my Citroen 2CV...?)
When we decide to stop travelling mainly offroad I suspect Simon will get a goldwing. They look so comfortable! We’re glad you’re enjoying the series. Thanks for letting us know 😊
@usefulcommunication4516 I found people welcoming and lovely. The TET allows people to considerately explore amazing parts of the world. As for the tent some of us love camping and the freedom it brings. I’ll leave your comment up for others to form their own opinion of it. If I may make one suggestion. If you dislike the TET and camping so much perhaps watching video of people camping on the TET may not be your ideal thing to watch? Wherever you ride enjoy and ride safe. Luckily we all have different things that we enjoy
What a miserably rainy ride, Simon. Hope you got good (Münchhausen) coffee in Bremen as a reward for your endurance. Sunshine in Sweden! Fast gravel tracks through the forests. Our mini adventure on TET France section 13 was cut short yesterday after a few miles due to stupidity and a broken finger (not me). Another attempt in about a fortnight. Next time lucky, Günter/Nürnberg
Great start to this trip. I was wondering if you two have to "work" another job for income. Envious of the time/holiday Europeans get vs us here in US. Looking forward to seeing the TET on your scheduled route as its all new to me. Always appreciate the map shots. So far the tracks look wonderful and so nice its been uncrowded. Favorite scenes were 13:30 and 22:30. Now that's living. Cheers! Peace!
Cheers 😊. Steff still works bless her! I retired early a few years ago so I have more opportunity to travel but we’re really lucky that Steffs job gives her a lot of time off to travel with me We’ve both worked a fair bit in the US and whilst there are lots of amazing aspects to living there one of the downsides definitely seems to be the lack of holidays you guys get On the other side we’re always so jealous of the amazing landscapes you have and the epic places you can ride in!
That’s some seriously impressive observation Sherlock Holmes 😂 Yes I rebooted her for the trip as there was a fair bit of mileage to do. Back to Anakee Wilds (although frankly there was very little technical terrain!)
Really looking forward to this trip it's been on my radar for a while so hope you have a great journey Looks like your using the guru app, i would be curious to know if it's fine over there? Thanks
Thanks for the comment 😊 I hope you’ll enjoy the series, I absolutely loved the countries and tracks and scenery. We’ve used guru all over the world and it’s never let us down. It worked brilliantly over there. In fact, we’re currently prepping for a month in Africa and we’re going to be using gurumaps. (I hope I don’t eat my words 😂)
Thanks. Unfortunately, poor Steph couldn’t get a month free to come with me on that trip, but you’ll be pleased to know she’s back and it’s full steam ahead for our month in Tanzania. Can’t wait for that one!
2 minutes in and I've already seen some spectacular scenery and an awesome shirt that I now want - that's a pretty solid start! 14:33 to 15:12: - is that the "worst" the trail gets on the TET or does it get really technical at some places? If/when I get to Europe, I'd love to do bits of the TET. Can well understand missing turnoffs due to being distracted by the scenery and wanting to stop and explore everything. That was a beautiful episode, awesome spot you got to camp.
I really laughed when Steff got me that shirt. The TET elsewhere (Wales and Portugal being examples that jump to mind) can get exceptionally technical, however, not Scandinavia. Sweden in particular is wonderfully mellow (although in a later episode you’ll see it’s got the very occasional muddy section).
@@wanderinghonda7963 Yeah, the shirt's epic. I've seen the sentiment expressed before and pairing it with Animal is just brilliant. Thanks for the advice on the TET. I'll have a look at your Portugal and Wales vids after I've finished the Scandinavian series. Lovely being able to see beautiful places around the world.
Enjoy! If we were recommending any riding trail in Europe I’d say the Pyrenees is a magical place. That’s the one place we’re definitely going back to soon The scenery is stunning and the trails were amazing. Although from what I’ve heard about NZ I suspect it’s nothing compared to the beauty you have on your doorstep
@@wanderinghonda7963 Cheers for that. We certainly do have some stunning scenery here - and the advantage of it is that it's relatively *_close_* if you want to get to it from wherever you happen to be. And whether you want to go backpacking, motocamping, road or trail riding, there's something for you, and our road-accessible Freedom Camping areas are plentiful. Oddly, it's only very recently I've merged my two loves: camping and motorcycling. It used to be that camping was backpacking up in the Kaimai Range or on Mt Pirongia and motorcycling was riding around the countryside, taking long trips to visit family or faffing about with my trail bike along the river bank or an Enduro trail. Closest I did to "motocamping" was attending the Cold Kiwi motorcycle rally a few times, from 2006 to 2010. Now I'm transitioning from backpacking to motocamping - so my equipment is largely my backpacking gear (in panniers rather than in a rucksack) carried on my GSX250R - but I can now consider taking more because weight is no longer the limiting factor.
I’ve see many videos of people travelling through Sweden and I was always quite bored within a few minutes. No one ever convinced me that Sweden is attractive for a motorbike tour. But this brilliant video did convince me. What a nice shots and what a splendid camping spot!
Thank you for the lovely comment and compliment. I can understand why people say it’s boring. I give overall impressions later in the series but if you are into tough tracks and enduro riding it might not be the ideal trip. If you like peace and quiet and a beautiful clean friendly country it might be worth considering. I really loved it 😊
You’ll see as the trip goes on that it’s not at all technical. There were perhaps one or two very small sections that I was grateful. I had good tires on but most of the time you could ride it on almost anything. I had Anakee Wilds which is the tyre Steff and I tend to use on most of our trips if we can get them 😊
Looking forward to this as will be doing it next year. Spent 13 winters in Norway of between 3 and 6 months and only once visited it in summer.... Out of interest what time of year is this?
Hi, I hope you enjoy the series 😊 I absolutely loved it up there, one of my new favourite places. It’ll be interesting to see how you compare the two experiences between winter and summer, I’ve only been to Norway in winter once, but I have to say it was beautiful. I’ve only just got back so this series was filmed in July and August
If I had known you were passing through Rotterdam, I could have guided you through the Netherlands, Then you didnt feel so lonely without your soulmate. The CRF300 is a not a great bike for highways. Nice Video and enyoi yout trip

Grocery stores are always open on Sundays in Sweden! The bigger supermarkets are open the same hours as during week days, normally 7 AM to 10 PM.
