How To: Infiniti G35 Radiator Replacement

- Here's an overview of a radiator swap on my G. With the plastic ends coupled to the aluminum center, the stock radiators are prone to cracking. The whole process took about two hours and $150 in materials. A simple DIY if you're willing to DoWitt!

Found your video among others for this job. Thank you! I bought a Denso radiator from Amazon for my 6sp coupe. I also bought OEM upper and lower hoses, clamps and thermostat from Z1. The radiator is 97% in it’s just missing the lower posts by a few mm. Ran out of time this afternoon but will attempt again next free chance I get. There’s good hand space it’s just the feet or posts are sorta tough. Maybe it’s the Denso radiator but the AC condenser sat on their posts perfectly… I’m hoping there’s no difference between automatic and manual radiators…
Awesome, I hope it helped you! The main difference between the auto and manual radiators is the automatic has a transmission cooler integrated. I don’t believe the manual ones have that. As long as the one you bought is the same as the one you took out, you should be home free. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
can you send the link to the manual g35 radiator ? also does it matter that i have an 04 sedan 6 speed manual compared to your coupe?
@@PhilipCurrier1 it doesn’t matter if you have a manual. I bought the “automatic” Denso radiator on Amazon and you simply do not use the lower ports that cool ATF. They remain plugged. The Denso fit inch perfect! Just angle it correctly and take your time. You’ll see what I mean
@@vqdriver so will the stuff i dont use be attached and will just hang there or will they be able to be taken out and discarded
@@PhilipCurrier1 they are simply little tiny outlet flanges. I left the little rubber nipples on. They will probably fall off during driving but doood I’m telling you the Denso radiator fits perfectly and is built really well for what you pay. Just use ittttt lolz insane bruh…

I have an 03 coupe AT and cannot find how to refill the trans fluid...am I missing something?
I am unfamiliar with the coupes as mine is a sedan. Assuming our transmissions are the same, there is a filler tube behind the engine that is accessible from the engine compartment. It has a 10mm bolt on top - not your typical transmission filler. Undo the bolt and you will have a standard dipstick. Be sure to check with the car warm and running in neutral for your best measurement.
I know this is dumb but where did you get your radiator from, I’ve been looking at RockAuto but just wanna do more research and not get a bad brand that made these.
Not dumb at all. I got mine through Amazon, and it appeared about the same quality as the OEM that I took out. I figure if the original lasted over 200k miles, I’m okay with that.
I was hoping to see you add tranny fluid so I'd know exactly where the filler tube is but the video was still great. Thanks
So little tranny fluid came out that it was still up to level and I didn’t have to add any. You aren’t the first to ask where the filler tube is. I may make a follow up video on a transmission drain/fill for that purpose. It is under the hood between the engine and the firewall. You have to remove a 10mm bolt and then the dipstick comes out. @@DoWittGarage Brother I cracked mine and a lot of transmission oil came out. I’m about to buy the radiator tomorrow and I need to know where I put more transmission fluid
@@PhilipCurrier1it shouldn’t, as long as you make sure it’s filled to the correct level.
