Since last summer, I've been working at the pass in a restaurant kitchen, calling out tickets, doing sides and dips and handing plates to the service people. And I have to be honest, this show has taught me a ton about what to do (and what absolutely NOT to do) in that position, and for that I am genuinely grateful.
Working in any type of restaurant isn't easy. Keep your head up
expo is literally one of the hardest places to work in a restaurant so kudos to you for taking it on!
i love that gordon told julie to keep the door open for trevor for when he got clean. that was so kind of him and understanding. gordon has so much knowledge from experiences and i love how he looks out for people. bless him.
me too ! i was reading some other comments on this video and someone posted an update for all the restaurants in this video, and they said that apparently Trevor went to rehab to get the help he needs (and deserves),and got clean ! he also plans on going to culinary school !! :))))))🎉🎉

Restaurant updates !
Pantaleone's is open. Business improved 70% after the episode aired and they added a delivery service in 2017. Reviews are positive.
Old Neighborhood Restaurant is closed. They closed as of May 1st 2016 after selling the restaurant business, the building was sold in June 2014.
Kati Allo is closed. They closed in April 2014, days after the episode aired. The closure was temporary for renovations but they never reopened.
Mangia Mangia is closed. They closed in November 2014 and Trevor went to rehab, got clean and planned to go to culinary school.
Zayna Flaming Grill is open. The restaurant was sold to a new owner in September 2015 and reviews are mostly positive.
Bella Luna is closed. They closed 3 and a half months after filming in November 2013 and blamed a dispute with the landlord.

@@xo.2o7 Sammy was deported alright but Amy didn't go with him straight away. She stayed in the state's for a bit which I was surprised about considering how much they claimed they love each other lol 😂
UPDATE: Sammy changed his name to Vladimir & now runs the country of Russia....Amy got a job in a kitchen in China in 2019, there was a worldwide outbreak due to her Bat soup recipe.

Fay from Zayna Flaming Grill is one of the most frustrating people I ever saw on KN. Keeps crying and complaining that nobody helps her, but turns down every help offer she gets from her staff, even if they offer to do it FOR FREE. Honestly, she deserves to fail.

Lordy the Mangia Mangia restaurant was basically the embodiment of a trailer park collectively running a place. I half expected to hear the location was Kentucky or even my own home state, West Virginia, with the way everyone was acting, but I got a chuckle hearing it was Colorado.
So much drama, kids basically holding the line, an aloof owner in major denial, a daughter always airing out personal drama like it’s high school and feeling the need to coddle/baby her own mommy, the poor cook with a methamphetamine problem, and a meek waitress just trying to get through the day.
I refuse to believe that the owner “thought” it was supposedly normal to just microwave everything despite admitting when she goes to eat at other restaurants with the understanding that she’s eating freshly made meals. She just didn’t want to outright admit she was lazy and was only after a quick buck.
The owner's hideous David Bowie Labyrinth haircut really tied things together.

Ok too be fair the reason tips are such a big thing for servers was because during the great depression the hourly pay for servers was decreased to around 3 dollars and afterwards it wasn’t changed back in order to save money; so I understand why Sami is saying they shouldn’t get tips because they’re already being paid higher than servers everywhere else. But to counter that you shouldn’t take the whole tip because that’s still something they earned and something the customer gave to them.

Kevin and the blonde waitress seemed to have potential too, don't know if the restaurant survived but if not hope they were able to find places that deserved them.
I think I heard that Trevor did go through rehab and he's doing far better now. Pretty sure the restaurant shut down unfortunately, but Trevor got himself back on his feet and he's off accomplishing his goals now. Very happy for him.
