It's really sad seeing families fight tho as someone who dearly loves my family and miss my folks after caring for them the last years of their lives. Despite often having "years", once they're gone it seems like the time was too short.

I feel so bad for Danial. That money was for him to buy a house, start a family, maybe go on a nice holiday. And instead he was robbed and forced into a burger restaurant.

He is still a Chef. He work him self up as all of us did from prep to head-chef. This is a show but he knows how the staff must feel and what they suffer. He reminds me of drill Sargent in this video. You know you fucked up bad when drill Sargent is not yelling at you.

Update weather you want it or not:
Burger kitchen stayed open for about a few months however it slowly reverted back to the old restaurant. The reviews went from mediocre to bad and the burger kitchen closed soon after the episode was filmed.
Another restaurant was opened in the same spot but soon closed down afterwards. Now, a new restaurant is in its place and is striving until this day.
Daniel sued his parents, presumably for the 250,000 and won it.
Finally, Allen saffron died of a heart attack in 2020 aged 70 (I think).
So alan is cooking wager in hell now..
I'm happy for Daniel! Being manipulated, stolen from is horrible especially when they're your parents. I hope he is doing better now. Appreciate the update.

What's even more impressive is that Danial quickly proved why she's standing by him. First glance at the guy I said, he's got no hair and he whine's about his parents - why is this girl with him. Well, she obviously saw through all of that and was spot on. Cheers to both and on getting their money back.

It’s a bloody burger. Any five year old could cook that. This guy‘s sitting round there whining instead of taking care of his kitchen. When dinner service arrived, he screwed up big time, and none of the owners can be blamed for that. They may be a total mess. But David‘s a fraud all the way.
At first I thought David was the bad chef like most episodes but he was absolutely right most of the time lol
He was a competent chef just being hamstrung by the delusional owners. His behavior towards Daniel was overkill though, and while it wasn't unreasonable to fire him, it was just unfortunate for all parties.

The whole ep I was wondering why both the son and his gf were wearing these silly hat's constantly (was low key judging for bad fashion ngl).

The tragedy is that this situation is very common in our societies. It's a vile circle in which you must break it but given the couple delusional ideas, Daniel should have walked away from them.

It seems like a straightforward case to win and if the son had been able to go that route right at the opening of the restaurant he would have been saved from so much pain, stress, drama and heartache.
It was always in his best interest to walk away from his parents and cut them out of his life; for his own health and well being.

Gordon is a chef and a therapist at the same time.
Chef David was an absolute LAD. He made this episode one of the most entertaining there has been. He also had that cockiness and tenacity that makes for a good chef! (Gordon gave his burger a 9/10 I mean come on!)
And then, he completely screwed up dinner service the same night. The guy’s a whining fraud. Any five year old can cook one single burger. When a chef was needed, he crumbled to pieces.

As someone who lost my Dad suddenly at 57 ten years ago I think about everything unsaid every day. This episode hit hard for me and hope they fix their relationship.

She stands up for him when he can’t and literally jumped over a table to hug him when he was crying. And he clearly loves her and defended her from his parents as he was about to cry. I live in Poland and I can confirm that some people here are batshit crazy about mushrooms. For example, there are facebook groups where people post the photos of the mushrooms they picked etc. So yeah.

The two unsing heroes of the episodes are Chef David and Wendy. David for being a great chef and a great boss to his staff and Wendy for being so protective of Daniel and always combative when his parents did some shit against him.
We need a partner like Wendy. Daniel is so lucky to have her. Also, David's quitting is the best decision he ever had because nobody can't stand work with those old couple who are stubborn.
David was horrible, he threatened someone with violence and made fun of Gen’s son for being wired.

She's only dating him for his money. She worsens his mental state by bickering endlessly with his parents about money. All three see him as a piggybank, Wendy is just a young version of his mother, a drug addict looking for a free ride.
