Just a tip: some more modern aircraft like the f5e can use a cannon balistic computer to help aim your gun. If you lock onto an enemy and you are within 1km it shows you where to aim but dont trust it competely. Great vid as always!

i think you are my favorite war thunder youtuber, i'm grinding for the mig-9 currently, i mean i need to unlock a couple more planes before i can reaserch it but i'm very close.
btw you dont really need to be scared of those russian ir missiles (r60m btw), they pull 30g and are all aspect so you can lock on from the front but they are one of the most flarable missiles in game, 99,9% of the time you can evade them with a single flare pop. i would be more scared of radar missiles from aircraft with a special kind of radar (pd radar). you need to basically go 90 degrees to the launching aircraft to evade the missile and chaff only does help to a certain point. if you just fly and chaff most radar missiles will still hit you. against aim 7f you just wanna roll and pull simultaneously (corkscrew) and it will go right by. For the BR that you are at I recommend you hug the ground since radar missiles at this br are scary. I have all of Sweden and the 11.3 Viggen gets scary good radar missiles for it's BR. Use your rat plane like a rat.
The F-5E was my favorite aircraft, the grind is worth it in my opinion. The only problem is its weak engines, bleads speed, and it only has 2 missiles. I'd prefer to focus on countermesures and missiles before to focus on the flight performance and survivablity. Nice to see you are finally at rank 7! Have fun with the top tier grind, F-16A sucks, you should grind the F-15A instead.
Your the reason why i started to grind so hard. My play time is only equivalent to 6.5 days and I'm currently researching my last prop which is the p51H. The only thing that's stopping me are the limited SL's i have.
The mig 21s don’t get access to all aspect heat seeking missiles until 11.0, if they shoot at you head on, they are using the r3, which is radar guided but only has 10g of pull
Also you can slave your missiles with a radar, I think the bind is X, it also gives a radar gun scope which is basically the arcade lead indicator. Try it out in the test fly in the AI planes.
BTW, while in the hangar, go to the f5e and go to xray mode on it while your viewing it in the hangar, and hover over the pilot and it will say it has something called EEGS which is a system in the plane that allows you to lock a target with the radar and it will tell you where to aim within I believe 1km
If someone shoots a radar missile at you you should go really close (like really close: almost crash into the trees) to the ground because r24r's and aim-7f's doesn't really care about your chaff and if you succesfully do it radar missiles go into the ground (only radar)
Go for the f8 I next one of my favourite planes in the us tech tree once you stock grinded and get the good missles it’s insane for its br,oh yeah turn of your afterburner when there’s a missile coming to you.
the f5e has ground ballistic computer and a radar lead computer wich gives you the lead you need its a bit funky but its something cool and to lock just use acm aim9js should be launched at max about 2km away
you should try using your keys more often instead of just using the mouse for flying it helps a lot and lower your mouse sensitivity for better aim accuracy
Yo you wanna know something how bout you go to a bomber and bomb as many ground vehicles as you can and if you get at least 20+ you get at least 25K+ research points (BR must be 2-6) to be easier. Premium account or boosters must be included to do it and buying a Premium bomber can make it more easier since you have all of its benefits when buying it
