    Wow, thank you so much! Just cleaned up over 100GB is Adobe media cache's! Had no idea they were stored there, you are a life saver!

    now i just need this for iphone. my 16gb iphone se 1 is suffering massively due to system data.
    seriously, there was literally a time where i could only download whatsapp and another where i had just reset my phone and screen recorded the system data section going up

    I believe this video I a huge incredible help for sooo many people!!!! I hope I will bw one of these people too.But the fact is that I am using Photoshop 2023, and the folder "Common" is missing in the place that you say it should be... Could you recommend me something to do, please?

      Go to view options and see if there is an option to show hidden folders

    i cleared about 20gb of my 100gb of system data this way. without risking to delete anything important, the library files are now 12gb in size, but 80gb of system data still remain un-findable and its making me insane

      20gb is a start. Do you have any apps that allow you to manually wipe any sort of cache?

      I have a similar situation. I reset my entire computer and tried to download some files form iCloud and they don’t show up on my desktop yet system data increases and is unfindable

    What about user logs? I have about 35 gigs of user logs from my Avid (pro tools) folder but I don't know if it's safe to delete.

      Personally I don’t have any experience with avid. I’d quickly run a Google search to see if it’s safe to delete, if so. Hit that delete button

    hi everyone, I did the aforementioned which did help me to free 2GB, thank you Chris. However, System still takes 78GB!!! I literally have 2-3 apps downloaded and lately dont even do much on my laptop, I switched off Photos on Mac but i dont understand How System takes so much space! Please help me, give me any and every advice, thank you so much!

      Time Machine backups? Try turning on and off etc

    i just reset my MacBook to the factory system, open up the computer still shows I have 494gb system out of 500gb, any recommendation? computer have no storage to do anything

      Did you factory reset with all data deleted or just a clean OS install? As if you didn’t do the first it won’t clear the drives. If I were you, backup all your important data to an external drive, then do a complete clean wipe. Then add your data back and see how much storage you have left. If you have none, you’ll have to go through your own data and move it off to external drives or delete things you don’t need to keep

      It may take some time to load, or you may need to add the size column

    I don't think the option "Reduce Cutter" is available in further mac updates, I am concerned why is it removed?
    P.S. A lot of ur steps is outdated in recent mac versions as some options as gone

      It’s an old video yes, unfortunately TH-cam doesn’t allow me to update videos, but the library part still works fine and it’s the main culprit.
      There’s a lot of other updated versions out there

    I'm on 14.6.1 Sonoma and can't find a Reduce Clutter function anywhere? Any ideas anyone. I do see I have nearly 80Gb of System Files, but I can't open up that icon and see what makes that 80GB... ??? After watching the rest of the video I was able to delete a bunch of junk off my SSD, even programs I had deleted still had stuff there.

    I click on "about this Mac" and absolutely nothing but the brand and details come up, there isnt the storage box either, i dont know where to find this now

      This is for the old version of Mac OS. But the cache folders on finder > go still works
