CLA is for me the most beautiful car out there, the emotional design is outstanding, i would prefer it every second over an E oder C class, even though the car is obviously way cheaper, both price and quality... funny thing is that you were mentioned the cozyness.. i can fully agree here, i own mine now for 2 years and every time i step into the car, especially when its darker outside and the ambientlightning kicks in, i just feel good and happy, like im in my living room :)... and every time i leave my car i watch back and say to myself: wow it just looks soo good.. like i said, this never changed even after 2 years now... The only car i would actually prefer over this is a the AMG GT 63 S 4 door or the CLS! but all these 3 cars looka actually really similar!

Glad this came out, since I have a similar vehicle; CLA 35 amg. I remember the first 3 months I had brake issues because of the noise, they kept saying because it's brembo performance brakes but they ended up chaffing it, 1 year later I'm sure we're gonna have replace it soon as it's now down to 31mm, recommended change is at 30mm. Also the electronic exhaust valve got fixed. Other than that, I hope the turbo stays okay!
CLA35 isn't similar mate... completely different engine. It's basically a tuned CLA250. The CLA45 has a much more powerful, handbuilt engine. Completely different suspensions, exhausts, brakes, etc... It's like comparing a Civic Si to a Civic Type R...
@@shadowblack1987 the engines are quite similar, the CLA 45 AMG S is a redesign of the m260 engine (CLA35 AMG), by adding in additional flow passages, upgraded valves etc thus introducing it as the m139 engine. And of course an upgraded ECU and exhaust system. In essence the origins of the engine is still within the m260 engine
Meanwhile my 2017 Giulia is humming along at 45K miles and nothing; not one thing, has broken or needed to be replaced. I honestly really want to upgrade to a CLA45 AMG so I hope this type of stuff is just "first year" wrinkles and by '23 it'll be as solid as my Alfa Romeo.

Tbh, this CLA 45 AMG and similar AMG models are probably the only sedan on the same level than the Giulia imo. @@Ksmoovey I have a Ti Lusso, but if I were 25 I'd want the Ti Sport (paddle shifters, etc.). :-) At your age I'd stay away from the Quad (insurance, very high maintenance) but if you are a high roller go for it. It isn't really fair to compare a Ti directly to an AMG as the Quad probably has a higher maintenance overhead similar to an AMG. They are both ultra high performance engines so you have to expect they will be more "needy" than the mass market engines. I'd love a Quad too but with hybrid work now I'd hardly ever have a reason to drive it.
I have a 2020 Cla 250 4matic with AMG package and I love it never any problems. I had one weird situation but I turned the car off and on and it went away. But my car isn’t a performance performance car but I wanted a 45 as well

In the S3, those were real leather seats. You bought standard dinamica(not Alcantara, but the same thing)/leatherette seats(so, all man-made materials), you didn't pay for the leather seats. I agree with the interior quality, C43 AMG squeaks all the time as well. The 9g in the c43 is by far the best transmission I drove, it is perfect in any condition and the best thing is that it's not too slow in eco mode.
The reason one of the air intakes is blocked off is because it’s a 4 cylinder. It doesn’t need that much air to cool it. More air would just be overkill and cool the engine too much

Not on a cringe motivational speech here but you really could you just have to focus and get a good job and finance one and it’s really possible. Spending lavishly would have to minimise too and you could get this car

I agree with the interior build quality issues, I have an AMG CLA45 S and my biggest gripe is the interior rattles. I don't agree with the city driving 'lurch', I don't find that at all, the ECU does a great job of 'learning' your driving style and reacting accordingly. I have no issue with the transmission in town, on the highway, or on windy back roads. Other than the interior quality issues, this is a fantastic vehicle, if you are all about the driving dynamics and the engine, you won't care about the other minor quirks.

Love this car but I love my c63s 2016 more 👌defo this will be the only car I would change it for but now after the release of the new c63 is not way i sell it . I live in a countryside and is where I enjoyed the most you just need to respect the c63s and have good quality tyres and know how to drive a rear wheel car .
I've been back and fourth between a crew and c450 and then this thing fell in my lap and coming from a 4.2l v8 Audi S5 I automatically canceled anythought of even test driving one With that lil ole 4 banger, BUT ITS PROBABLY MAKES MORE STOCK THAN MINE STOCK. Granted the at was closer to 450hp when I sold it I bet a simple tune would throw this thing into orbit. Just fearfully for that weak ass 4cyl feeling in the gas pedal but damn looks like that's not an issue. It even sounds good though it might sound like a civic but nah not even close. Checking it out today so we shall see🤷🏽

@@ABAUTOAMG yes. altough i don t think that they can be actively opened or closed. when i skim through my cla45s order catalogue, there is no such option. only the "AMG Real Performance Sound" controllable per button and described as "more sound being pumped into the interior".
@@dbcooper8437 I will double check in my cla45s to be sure but I think the button does both, you can deactivate the piped in sound in mbux so the button is just the values. You can also get an ASR module for the car which keeps the values open all the time (they only open 100% at higher RPMs)

It actually opens the valve. If you have someone sit outside when you click the button you can hear it mechanically opening

You can get a pre face lift cla 45 amg, it's going quite cheap ever since the new 45 AMG s came out

Performance seats are worse than standard seats in terms of comfort, and that isn't leather on seats it's artico leather that means fake leather

Wrap is 3M film so it’s a good material. Around here you have huge trucks that chuck up rocks and gravel

It depends on the driving. In the city its awful, I think I get 200 miles on a full tank. In the country its about 400 miles to a tank
