Thank you so much for this video! I need to get my gas tank off. It has lots of rust in it. I attempted to but it was too complicated & I broke some rivets so I am just putting clean gas in the tank and breaking the rust up inside the tank with a small wire brush, & then hand pumping it out! Repeating the procesx. Best I know to do....? Oh I contacted PH 2x's today...I was told that these are made so that they have to be serviced by a tech. I told him we'll not everyone can afford that cost & some of us don't mind getting a little dirty ourselves to do the work.
I had that same issue with the tank of a Predator 3500 inverter which is the same generator as the PH, I used some well known rust remover and ended up swapping the thank because it didn’t work at all but it was a pain to find a replacement. As a tech myself those are the reasons I make my videos, for people like yourself that don’t mind getting their hand dirty and do the work. Thanks for watching my video and keep me updated on your PH let me know if your able to restore the tank.
Multiple companies use the same generator and put their own name. The Predator 3500, Workhorse 3500, Powerhorse 4500, and the Kraftwerk 4500 are the same generator.
Excellent tutorial; I followed it step by step and now my PowerHorse runs like brand new. Thank you!
Awesome! I’m glad the video was helpful.
