Problem with GDI engine is carbon deposit on intake valve and intake manifold. Nearly all GDI engine will need carbon removal after 90,000 to 100,000 KM. Also, you need a higher quality petrol with detergent, higher quality engine oil, and still it will be more maintenance demanding due to other components like the turbo charger which works under a lot of stress. For engine longevity and reliability Naturally Aspirated engines are much better where as if you need more power Direct injection is the way to go. Also, there is no free lunch in Physics😊
How many kilometers these Kia 1 ltr Turbo engine can last for if driven maintenance done regularly? Asking this as I am very confused to buy Sonet 1 Ltr. turbo vs Brezza 1.5 NA. Appreciate valuable advise here
Any Direct injection engine will be relatively less reliable and more maintenance will be required. Also, a 1 liter turbo engine will be similarly priced or even more than a 1.5L NA engine. Also, those are mostly 1 L 3cyl engine. Even though they are much smooth but not as smooth when compared to a 4cyl engine.
Yes in 2014 TATA motors developed Revotron engine 1.2 L petrol uses based on MPI engine. if you will compare with similar engine options you will get to know this is under powered compared to GDI engine also its life expected to be compromising compared to GDI. But except this every motor company uses GDI for turbo petrol engine as it is best in segment but cost is high. So Revotron by tata is at lower price with turbo feel but performance is compromising. Hope i delivered right.
for turbocharged petrol car , ideal engine is gdi but due to cost cutting few models are offering mpi engine. But compare this engine with gdi you will get the performance gap. Watch my new video on tata Revotron engine.

Kia engines are not reliable, better go for Mahindra's TGDI engine.
@@tapas1505exactly. We can close our eyes & go for mahindra engines..
However kia services are better than Mahindra slightly
Yes bro go for XUV 3oo tgdi

Not explained much about TSI
Comparing tsi engine with other turbo engine is an absolute disgrace😂
Yeah definitely ... but now Hyundai GDI engines are also fantastic
Hyundai gdi engine already beat the vw tsi engine in bhp and torque
