Is the Macan still the fast SUV you have to have? Comment below! For more details, read the article here: www.whichcar.com.au/reviews/2022-porsche-macan-review
Great review! I ordered the Macan S - and added the air suspension. I believe this is the sweet spot. This will be my last petrol car before going electric.
Surprising this is quite a good review with just that little bit more details on each model from the base to GTS despite after watching 10+ other reviews on the Macan.
Awesome review. I especially appreciate the comparison of the three and their suspension. Would you suggest optioning the air suspension on the s? Or leave it as is and option the sport chrono package to be able to adjust the dampeners?
Great vid. I have a question. I have porsche 718 and now I'm thinking of getting a car with more seats. I'm thinking Macan S (2022), Cayenne coupe S, and Panamera Sport Turisumo. Which one would you recommend and why? Thanks!
So far our GTS Macan is holding very good! Still 13 Flat quarter and 0-60 in 4.4 so that is fantastic. For a Midsized SUV it rocks. I mean its does not get better then this with an SUV unless maybe the Urus or the Upcoming MDX Type S but other then that yeah its a done deal.
The difference between standard macan and s is much greater. 4.8-5.1 vs 6.2-6.5 seconds. Also the commentator didn't mention the main bits Macan s has a gts engine and gts has previous macan turbo power
Pretty much only engine is a difference that matters between those 2. If I'm not mistaken, the best selling one is a standard Macan - that's because most people that go after porsche don't need as fast an SUV as 4.8 s, which is rather very fast for any car tbh. Macan at 6.2 feels very okay already, I'd say. The beauty of this car and a make as a whole lies in its amazing interior and exterior, if you ask me. The prestige of porsche is unmatched. Best regards!
@@paddie3698 but right now Macan S has upgraded 2.9T EA839 engine which is a huge deal. Back then Macan S had 3.0T standard EA839 with Miller cycle which is not that much better than EA888 with DL501 transmission.
@@paddie3698 btw if you wanna get any Audi/Volkswagen/Porsche products, avoid dual clutch transmission and old EA888 engines, they’ll be the worst nightmare you’ll have after 60k miles
The new 2.9 Macan S has been tested at 4.4secs 0-100kph/62mph. Official figures say it’s 4.6secs with launch control, 4.8 without. And the new 2.0 Macan is officially 6.4secs with launch control, 6.2secs without. No idea where you got your figures from.
Adaptive air suspension with levelling system and height adjustment incl. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is available as an extra on the S. 2,790.00 A$ expensive but worth it
thanks for the video but couId you please use or incIude HP, at this point it's won and most of the viewers don't know this important conversion off the top of their head
All reviewers just gloss over the space saver spare wheel which is useless in this country. Just bite the bullet and say if you want a full size spare this is the amount of boot space you sacrifice and show it. Roof boxes will make up the difference if necessary. Sunday night between Jindabyne and Cooma and you hit a pothole the size of the grand canyon you are not getting to Sydney on a run flat or a space saver.
@@maxim4458 sounds a good buy. I do plenty of country NSW mile and there is no mobile reception in a lot of it, in areas you would think should be covered. i.e. backroad between Braidwood and Nowra etc My answer is the spare in the boot and then a roof box if needing a load of luggage.
@@zerogeewhiz It's a stopwatch, and also shows time, in that order, it's also an indicator of the fact that a Sport Chrono Package on a given model is present, enables an even sportier tuning of the chassis, engine and transmission...and also a radar to detect pretentious poppycock, like we've just learned.

So, 2022 model 80k+ price(YES IM TALKIN ABOUT TOP OF THE LINE). Without STANDARD: LCA, heated steering wheel, Android auto, heated and ventilated seats. Subpar acceleration and dated interior. Who buys this shit? For the same money you get bmw x3m, glc 63s that are faster, have better handling and all the features.
Yeah but big difference that Shit N W wont last a 2 seasons same with that GLC 63s the Macan GTS will still take down the X3 with just a chip upgrade done deal. Plus it will last not like the Shit N W bro.

In connection with the back seats, what's your height?
You’re right- one would think that a vehicle that can go very fast quickly, that there would be more substantial safety equipment standard.
What’s with the hissing in the video? It kind of ruins the whole thing.
Bugs, sadly. Lots of bugs. Not much we can do about Mother Nature, but we did our best.

Rattlesnake background sound eyy, Ozzies
Everyone is a Porsche expert however most of them have never owned one.
What the hell is that snake hissing??
They are cicadas not snakes haha must not be from Australia
Just an FYI - Porsche is pronounced as paw·shuh, they've got a video on this.
yeah but how do you pronounce renault, mazda, volkswagen etc.? Assume you'd just pronounce it as close to English as possible hence Por-sh
Another Porsche commercial another Porsche salesman
Ever tried one?
Suggest a better buy is the VW Tiguan which has larger room area, modern elecrtics and larger internals and the cost is way better
Porsche eat? Hmm that a funny name.
