I can't speak for the lower ranks, but to enter the Civil Service as an Executive Officer you used to have to take an exam and then have an interview before a panel of 3. It seems to me that was a perfectly fair recruitment procedure.

Yes, these DEI "jobs" are just people hired and maintained with UK tax payer funds to encourage and employ discrimination based on race and many other characteristic when it comes to hiring practices and opportunities. These people are political officers, i.e. they are woke commissars.
As ever, because it's election year and the conservative in name only Tories are absolutely browning their trousers right now, they are ramping up the pandering. Sorry, but it was the Tories who allowed this cancer to fester in the first place, & they have well over a decade to remove this. Instead of removing this far left racist cancer, they funded it, promoted it and even enforced it upon their staff and the public whether they wanted it or not.

Near alll Whitehall cleaners, security and most Departments are coloured ETHNICS.
