Hey Betty. I'm jealous you got out that way. That's a 4 hour run each way for me but I want to get to that region so bad. I want to hit Ochoco for Thundereggs. Things worth noting. The quick NOFX drop on the barn was great. I almost missed it. Loved NOFX. Makes me want to get on my skateboard and shred. The other thing, and it's no big deal, it's learning. The lizard is a Sagebrush Lizard, not Alligator. Sagebrush will likely be the most common lizard you'll see in the desert areas of California and Oregon. The Fence Lizard is also very common, but transitions to Sagebrush as you go farther East. Great video and always appreciate you sharing. Have a great day.
@@Betty-RockBetty I'm you're nerd 🤓. Don't feel bad, I've seen maybe 1000's of them. I'd be able to ID them from 50 yards away. Thanks for sharing those pics also. Part of the trip, and then you appease us critter geeks... right Rick 😉 Take care Betty 🫶
Sweet polish Betty!!!❤❤ And on such a huge face! I'll freely admit I'm struggling with polishing. My 8 inch flat lap is so slooow and patience is so poor. I'm gonna switch over to the electric drill pads and see if I can get faster results. It's been too cold to cut anything as my frontporch is my cutting area, but I'm getting a little stir crazy 😜🥴.
I have an 8 inch all you need or all in one and I hear you on the slow! I have some of the pads and a drill press. It feels like an accident waiting to happen when I use that thing, I don’t think I can be careful enough!
@@Betty-RockBetty Wow, a drill press. What a great idea though! That's a lot better/safer SOUNDING than clamping an electric drill, despite the fear factor. You can control the pressure and the rpms. Wouldn't matter though as I have no place to put it. 😂🤣 My wife and I agree that we need a large outdoor building/shed for her gardening addiction and my mild rockhounding hobby. Approximately 20,000 square feet should do it 😂🤣.
@@Betty-RockBetty I did, but being the DA that I often am, I ordered the disc and not the plate. Sorta nervous about what glue to use to bind it onto the backing plate I bought for it as it doesn't come with an adhesive side like I ASSUMED the disc and backing plates came with. I've been a regular Forrest Gump with this flat lap ordering. And then I lost the tightening screw and had to order another one. I'm not a very smart man said Forrest.
@@RickSmith-kp3sy I have an acrylic backing plate being delivered today and it’s not going to stick to the 80 grit I got from amazon. So I’ve been using it anyway - I stick my 80 grit plate from amazon on top of my 180 and thread the nut on as hard as I can. 🤣 It works but I’m sure it’s not ideal. I’m going to burn this thing up the way that I treat it.
Very pretty ! 😊
@@soul_adventurist Thank you Cheryl!!!

Hi Jeff thank you!!! I’m going to try it - this rock is pinkish so it’s not that obvious but I know it’s there!

@@just-one-more-rock I wondered if some herpetology nerd would correct me 😆 I tried! I looked at the lizards on odfw!

Did you get 80 grit wheel for it? That’s helped me a lot.
