Song used in end sequence is “I Will Wake Up To Face Another Day” by Jory Nash from the album “The Many Hats of Jory Nash” available at www.jorynash.com
Paul Kenneth Bernardo (born August 27, 1964), also known as Paul Jason Teale, is a Canadian serial killer and serial rapist. Bernardo is known for initially committing a series of rapes in Scarborough, Ontario, a suburb of Toronto, between 1987 and 1990. He subsequently committed three murders with his then-wife Karla Homolka; among these victims was her young sister Tammy Homolka. After his capture and conviction, Bernardo was sentenced to life imprisonment and was later declared a dangerous offender unlikely to be released. Karla Leanne Homolka (born May 4, 1970), also known as Leanne Teale, is a Canadian serial killer and rapist who, with her first husband Paul Bernardo, raped and killed at least three minors between 1990 and 1992. Homolka attracted worldwide media attention when she was convicted of manslaughter following a plea bargain to serve only 12 years in the rape-murders of two Ontario teenage girls, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, as well as the rape and death of her sister Tammy.

If anyone has any specific questions or would like my opinions on the case, I’m considering doing a question and answer video. Please submit your questions below and I’ll try to make the video and answer as many questions as possible. As I state in the video, I’m not an expert but I think I’m equipped to answer most. If the tapes were found and viewed at the house that day, then she doesn't get the plea deal?...or they were turned over by his lawyer, after she made the plea deal, and so they see her true involvement. Because she obviously lied to the detectives about her role. But it's too late to change the deal. She should never be free.

Off topic but perhaps you should do something about the Christine Jessop case now that it is solved and about Guy Paul Morin. There's an awful lot of cold cases in York Region for example from '70s including the biggest manhunt in Canada at time with Ingrid Bauer's case. In her case she was 14-years-old and in a rural area in 1972 and went out one night to visit boyfriend but wentto hitch hike there and nobody knows what happened. I wasn't alive back then but cops are still getting tips and ditto for Nicole Morin. I thought I would mention it because your viewers have an interest in the Bernardo locations and you film in Toronto.

I started watching this with a little trepidation having studied this gory case previously. Scott you did an excellent job telling their horrific story whilst also caringly telling the story of the victims and portraying their undoubted bravery. Rest in peace sweet girls never will you be forgotten.
I also echo your sentiments regarding Paul and Karla or Leanne or whatever else the trash calls itself. Her role in this whole ordeal was a lot more involved than many may think. A leader not a follower was Karla

She held a halothane soaked cloth either directly over Tammy's mouth or cm's away. The burns on Tammy's cheek were post mortem meaning the halothane was applied after her last breath. Tammy was capturing Paul/s attention and to use Karla's words "had to be gone"
The wedding photo placed in the casket also alludes to a "you didn't take my man" message to Tammy IMO

I loved that you took the time, your research was accurately done and I loved your compassion for the victims and I loved the silence when you went to actual locations.....frozen in time.....moment of silence. As I always say, .... if these walls could talk. Ken and karla were completely sick, calculated and cruel..just evil. And the fact that she was released....is why this case continues to haunt me. She should NEVER been released...what she did and participated in..what she did to her own sister, to me was the worst of them all, ....her own sister.

I was called for jury duty and had to sit in the large courtroom where this trial took lace. The largest of them in the building. Knowing this gave me an eery feeling knowing what had taken place and what testimony and details came out in that room. I was dismissed from my duty and didn't have to serve and couldn't get out of that building fast enough. This is a well done series Scott! Right down to your sympathetic tone and background music. Not something we Canadians want to re-visit but it's an important piece of our history that shouldn't be forgotten if only to remember Tammy, Kristen & Leslie.

    Hi Scott,
You did a great job with this series. Thank you for being so respectful to Tammy, Leslie, and Kristen.
If you do a Q and A, I was wondering what do you think Karla’s children will think when they find out what their mother did? I know this may be a tough question but a lot of people have brought this topic up. I’ve read that as of this year, Karla isn’t living with her husband or kids anymore. This makes me question if they already have some idea. There was a lot of media coverage a couple of years ago when it was revealed that she was volunteering at their school. I would think at least the oldest has some idea. What are your thoughts?
Thank you for reading this and if you get the chance to answer. :)

KH should be rotting in prison, like PB is, she is just as guilty of these heinous crimes. I read a true crime novel on this case and Kristen actually begged KH to release her while PB went out for Swiss Chalet. Well, as we all know, KH showed no mercy.

Hi Scott, I have today watched over 20 of your videos and I loved them. I haven’t commented on them as I was watching on the tv rather than my iPad. From true crimes, to Hollywood graves and the heartbreaking 3 part Paul Bernardo videos. Have learnt so much, she’d a few tears and wished even more to go to Hollywood, well one day maybe. Thank you from Sharon in London 🇬🇧

Karla Homolka should be reminded everyday of her life that she was an active participant in these horrible crimes. I hope that she is never allowed to live in peace. She only came forward when he beat the crap out of her. She had no compassion for these girls.

      Totally agree with you 🙌
      When Karla’s neighbours found out about her murderous ways her now husband, Thierry Bordelais, was asked what he made of his neighbours concerns and here is his response;
“If they are worried, all they have to do is move. We’re free, we’re in a free country. Has anything happened over the past 10 years?” So why are they worried? I don’t see why they are worried.”
Yes, Thierry your neighbours are worried that they have a serial killer living next door to them. With one of her victims being her sister.
Karla Homolka should not be free!

Great job on this one Scott. You're right, he will never get out. What blow's me away is that Karla is out. 12 years...she freaking walked on these horrid crimes! I dont understand it because it looks as if they had so much eveidence on him the didnt need to make a deal with her. Im sure her lawyers brother was waiting at the prison gates when she got out...to hide her away. I almost fell off the chair when you said you were protecting her privacy by not showing her current image! You got me on that one!

I was visiting Canada at the time Kristen went missing and I remember seeing her picture on screen and thinking what a pretty girl she was with such nice teeth. I was the same age as her and as a kid myself, I was a little jealous, and wasn't paying attention to the news.
I was not following anything about the case, and did not realize what happened to her. it was only several years later that I watched something on it and I realized that she was one of the victims. They flashed her picture and I was immediately taken back to that time.

First off, I would like to say how beautiful Canada is. I live in NC where the trees are as big and as green. I never knew what Canada looked like until I started watching your video's. You take me to places I know I will never see in my lifetime. Thank you for that! Second, Loved the 3 parts of this case. I feel so badly for the victims and especially Karla's, to know that she had something to do with her sister's death. She can hide her face but everyone knows who she is and what she done.

Well done Scott. As a fellow citizen I appreciated you dusting off debris from the headstones while visiting their resting places. A stand up moment. Young women who should be with us today and have impacted the entire Golden Horseshoe. A triumphant moment for all especially their families knowing Paul Bernardo will remain behind bars as of 2021.

Great videos Scott....I noticed whilst I've been down the rabbit hole that is this case that Paul Bernardo now goes by the name Paul Jason Teal....also that Karla LeAnn Homolka now goes by LeAnn Teale.....I looked it up and her husband and children's last name is actually Bordelais....so why are Paul and Karla/LeAnn using the same last name if they aren't involved with each other on some level anymore?
    Seems pretty telling doesn't it?
Another you tube channel said that Paul got the name Teal from some 1980's movie starring Kevin Bacon and Gary Oldman????? Do you know if that is true? Something about the character being a serial killer who got away with it....kind of similar to American Psycho starring Christian Bale which evidently was another film that Paul was obsessed with....
Curious to know if you've heard anything about this or if you know why they've both changed their last names to Teal?
Why are they using the same name if they're divorced?
Why doesn't she use her husband's name if she doesn't want to use her own?
Seems like if she's truly trying to move on and not be noticed she wouldn't use the same name as Paul does....just a thought.
Thank you for the attention you've given to the victims and the care you showed to their graves....its nice that they are being remembered as their lives were senslessly cut short...

Thank you so much for this series. This case is hard to listen to. Everything about it is difficult. Much love and respect to the victims and their families, I hope they all find peace. I can't imagine how this has effected Karla's family since one of their victims was her own sister. I wonder if they have anything to do with her and her new life today.
Karla Homolka looks like she's lived a rough one since she got out. That's a hard 44 right there. I'd heard on Reddit that she was quite involved with her kids school and that once she was exposed the parents and the community shunned her. I hope people keep her in their sights. I was a dumb kid once too, but I never killed anyone. Anyone that kills another person, let alone as part of a killing spree, is a whole other kind of monster that should always be side eyed. LOVE the shade thrown at Karla, it's much deserved!
