    You've done a lot of great work here on your channel Scott, but this three part series is your very best work. In my opinion, this is your *magnum opus* .
    Because you are from there and lived through all of this as it was happening, you give a perspective that's better than everyone else that's covered this subject on TH-cam.
    With the way you tell this story and take us to all the pivotal places involved in this story, it's almost like we are traveling back in time to when this all started & then taking the entire journey with you to the present day.
    I love your entire body of work on your channel, but again, this three part series is your absolute best work. And that's saying something.

    As a true crime buff, this is one case that stuck with me. All of the kidnappings and murders were awful, but allowing your partner to SA and murder your own sister is... *i have no words*
    My friend in Canada would tell me that when walking home from school, she would hide whenever she saw a gold car matching the description of the one reported, despite living in Calgary, AB, as she was the same age and 'type' as the disappearing girls. It was that scary for the whole country.
    My heart goes out to the dozens of his victims/survivors
    RIP Tammy, Leslie, and Kristen 🩶🍁
    Another great video, very informative and highly respectful to the only ones who matter in this story.
    I hope he's living a miserable, painful and traumatic life in prison.

    Thank you for taking the time to create this very interesting series. Absolutely atrocious, but still an utterly fascinating case. I lived/went to highschool between the Agincourt CI rape and the Birchmount/401 rape (lesser known) location and it was a very scary time. I remember that the females were all told to 'buddy up' when walking anywhere in the area. The morning that the photo of PB was published in the Sun, my whole English class had a copy on their desks and one of our peers matched the photo even more closely than PB did, so we were a bit on edge for a while (the poor guy). I also attended Centennial Scarb. campus, but didn't know at the time it was where the two deviants met. Yikes.

    Karla was the lure as she would go up to girls and befriend them in a parking lot isolating the girl alone then Paul came up with a knife from behind to get her in the car. My daughter told me the sex trafficking rings are really devious and use some ploy at a girl. Hiding under their cars or sticking something on the door to distract them. She learned that on Instagram. Terrifies the shit out of me with this society.

      Flyers on windshields are suspect, too. Young people are advised to just drive away, then remove it when they have traveled a good distance, in a well-populated area or, better yet, around people they know. I would add...do the same if you’re older and suspicious, too!

    University of Toronto Scarborough Campus was where Elizabeth Bain disappeared from. Her then boyfriend was wrongfully convicted of her murder. Although her body has never been found, investigative authorities know that she is dead. Bernardo is considered a suspect in her murder (because for one thing, besides the fact they both attended the afore-mentioned university, the 2 of them apparently met each other, a few years before her disappearance & murder).

    • @moseschrute
      @moseschrute ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes how crazy is it that Elizabeth, Paul and another serial rapist and murder Russell Williams attended the same campus at the time of her murder? Though I lean towards Paul as his brand of cigarettes were found in her bloody car and the radio was set to his favourite station. Though I think it more likely an accidental murder trying to SA her, he liked to hold a knife to women’s throats during the Scarborough rapes so maybe she struggled. Her body was never found so sign of trying to hide the crime, meanwhile Leslie and Kristen were deliberately intended to be found

    I’m a year younger than Leslie, Kristen and 2 years younger than Tammy. Growing up in Southern Ontario when Leslie and Kristen disappeared and this case playing out in real time was scary AF. I’m 45 now and think of their lives taken so cruelly yet Karla got off easily and has children. When I worked in Burlington I pray for Leslie when I drive down Guelph Line, and think of Kristen and Tammy whenever I drive by St Catherines. At least Paul has been labeled a Dangerous Offender meaning he will likely never be released. I’m also convinced he killed Elizabeth Bain as well

    • @NtheMist
      @NtheMist 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      The investigators really screwed up this case. And Karla fooled many Drs along the way. She was more culpable than Paul in Many ways.

    • @sleeksalmon
      @sleeksalmon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      She cut a deal with the prosecution to testify against paul, saying she was abused and afraid of him. She cut a deal and then THEY found the video tapes that showed how involved she really was . but the deal was already cut. There is even more to it than that but it has been awhile since I read the book.

    • @missyann7588
      @missyann7588 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I agree. It pisses me off to know that she is able to have a normal life now. She has 3 children….they should have sterilized her….she helped TAKE the lives of those girls…it doesn’t seem right that she was able to GIVE life after what she did. She shouldn’t get the privilege of being a mother. She took away her sister Tammy’s opportunity to be a mother, to be a wife, to experience life at all. And she took all that from Kristen and Leslie as well. It just drive their families crazy knowing she lives a normal life like nothing happened. Like she didn’t cause the worst hurt a parent WILL EVER feel. She and Paul…there are no words. Just disgusting.

    Scott on Tape. I just noticed that Queen Elizabeth Way highway runs though Port Dalhousie straight to Burlington, I've thought over the years how Bernardo winded up there so late at night from his home where there were towns that would have been considered "closer " . The route was pretty easy..
