Imagine just starting out your young life, then being murdered. Then you end up nameless under a stone slab in a cemetery. Heart-breaking. The perpetrator's name is common place whilst the victim's remains unknown. A great choice of victim to visit to end your video Scott.

I went to grammar school with John Mowery, one of Gacy's victims. In the pictures, John is 2nd from left on the bottom row. The saddest thing is that his mother lost a daughter to murder just a few years before John. John is the one who discovered his sister's body. How much can one mother take? My husband also used to live two minutes away from Gacy in Norwood Park Township and had a teenage son looking for side jobs at the time Gacy was lurking around for these victims. He felt lucky that his son wasn't a victim. RIP to all of them.

I grew up in River Grove, IL between 1977 and 1981. I was literally a 7 minute drive from my front door to Gacy's. To this day I'm shocked, angered and disturbed to know how much the police knew...and how little they did to stop him. I recently went to the property where the house once stood as well as the location where Gacy abducted Robert Piest. R.I.P. to all the victims. Rot in hell to Gacy. And thank you, Scott, for being respectful and professional. You're a good man.

Have you read "Chaos" by Tom O'Neill? Blew my mind. Not really, but kind of. I had researched a bit into all Gacy's government ties and "passes" a while ago. Koresh too..... the Manson thing still surprised me some. However, at 46 I am so pissed at how crazy I was treated for so long, believing our politicians and government moved they way we know for sure now..... they were moving. Each story-leads to another and it's absolutely disgusting how much some are allowed and others denied. My hearts shatters into pieces for all those affected, including his innocent family members. It's so sad how far tragedy reaches and ripples. Blessings and 💚 to all of us living a "righteous" life.... which to me simply means.... trying to be a better person today then I was yesterday, don't hurt others, look out for others and keep it moving.

Mike Rossi murdered and other horrible acts, yet he found someone to marry and have kids. No way could I marry a guy like that knowing the deviet acts he did and then sleep with him. Ewww.

These sorts of things happen but I still don’t understand why such atrocities are done. So sorry for everyone. Wish them all peace. I like watching crime documentaries, cops etc. but feel sad for all those who have lost their lives because of some crazy people. By the way Scotty I never liked clowns. Gave me the creeps, I moved out of USA and Norridge in late 1979 and was around 18 when this went down. Craziest thing is I knew who JWG was exactly and had met him in several occasions earlier. This case was the last I remembered from the US and it haunted me all my life. Just by seeing this video I can remember the times, the smells, the sounds. I didnt recognize the Greyhound spot and how its developed today. Crazy how the world changes. The bridge looks similar like in the 70s though and so do a lot of the houses in Norridge.

No 911, carried themselves properly in public and hid their evil from those that truly did love them. Gacy was full of himself and liked the attention and loved to talk about himself. Gacy realized he was being followed and in an act of bravado, invited police in to his house. It was during this time or another that he openly smoked pot in front of the police. At the time this was illegal. Gacy was displaying his arrogance or mental state. Also a cop asked to use the bathroom and while in there, the furnace kicked on and air from below flowed out a vent next to the toilet so the cop knew immediately it was the smell of death. I think Gacy, like other killers, blamed the smell on sewer problems.

I lived in a nearby suburb at the time and I remember this as if it occurred yesterday. The pictures now look long ago and the trees have grown and people have moved and neighbors have passed on. This created a very chilling effect on the Chicagoland area that lasts to this day nearly forty-five to fifty years later. It’s all so very sad and wish they had made a memorial on that site. I wouldn’t want to open my shades if I lived in the next door neighbor houses given the proximity. Rest their souls. Your music was beautiful.

I barely watched another of my favorite youtubers just the other day, and she talked about John Wayne Gacy too; but she does the crime part...most of the gory details and parts of the trial. Lo and behold, you upload the other half of the story...which is the victim's memorials. I feel like between the two of you, the story came full circle for me. The way you are so respectful of their memories and are very careful how you present details pertaining to the case is very commendable. I highly enjoy watching you, Scott. Many of these kids were much younger than I thought. I never seen all those pictures of them before. This is horrifying and heartbreaking. I hope the last six are identified. So many people have been missing for decades I makes me think alot of Gacys are still active

Thank you Lisa…I think it’s different as well in regard to the filming technique I used and the way I approached the story. I wanted to tell the story first, and then at each location say as little as possible and just let the camera linger. Sometimes words aren’t needed I feel. The first thing I filmed for this video was the bridge and I have footage of me talking away under it etc but whilst filming I found the structure was telling the story just by it’s size and well, the look of it. That’s the moment I decided I wanted to go in a different direction. Thank you for noticing AND of course watching

Believe it or not her house was also the party house, so we'd go over there to party & flip through the crime scene photos before any of them had been released to the public.

He was one of the scariest and worst next to Dahmer. I've never seen the physical locations in the present era. I knew the Gacy house was torn down but it looks like a new one was rebuilt? Who would want to even live on the lot and oddly there's a backhoe in the driveway. In the Dahmer case they tore down the Apt building and fenced the area off. Not here I guess.

I use to be in the principle's office of John Palmer Elementary on Kenneth btw Lawrence Ave and Foster Ave all the time. There was another kid named John S. who was there all the time too. Years later when Gacy was caught there was a knock on John S.'s door. Two detectives were at the door. They showed him a photo of him passed out on a bed with nothing on but his boots. He had gone with Gacy for drugs or a job offer. He was knocked out, woke up on the bed, grabbed his clothes, jumped out the window and ran for his life. He told no one. When he admitted that was a photo of him the detectives said, "Congratulations. You're most likely the only one to make it out alive." The story made the Chicago Sun Times Newspaper.

DJ Steve Dahl did a lampoon song of Another Brick in the Wall called Another Kid in the Crawl. The parents of Gacy's victims won an injunction to prevent the song from being played on Chicago radio.

Also in my neighborhood near Elston and Pulaski was a bar called the Good Luck Lounge. He use to "interview" young men there for "jobs." It had to close down when people in the area started calling it the Gacy Luck Lounge. No one wanted to drink there anymore. It was a more simple time and maybe serial killers were less romanticized then. Chicago mobsters, another matter.
