The worst part is that the the tank was left open since the night she fell into it to the time the police finally found her. And people were drinking that water and showering in it. All the way till the body started to rot and the water in the sinks and showers started to turn brown
Literally something out of a horror movie

Yes it’s possible, that’s the reason why the doors to the rooftop have alarms ⏰ so no one can tamper with them but a combination of neglect and nothing ever happening on the rooftop could of contributed to her death

I dated someone that was bipolar and when we were going home to my house she saw and swore I hit someone in the road and when we got to our house she was acting strange and again swore she saw someone in my hallway. Bipolar is real and definitely a mental disorder. Very scary day for me. So I do believe Elisa was having a psychotic episode

She would’ve not went out of her way to make herself unseen. Unless there’s someone else involved that had to hide her, hiding a body is a criminal mindset.

I’ve dealt with two people in my life with different forms of Bipolar one I grew up with and she chose not to medicate, I lived not far from her and saw her a lot, she kept herself very busy, aside from being depressed at times, she maintained very well her life with her illness. Then I married someone who has Manic bipolar who hallucinated badly and had to seek treatment and then medicated himself willingly. Medicated or not they need the right support system and not left behind. For it is extremely easy for the weak and ill to be prayed upon by sick individuals whom can find their way in…if there’s an excuse they can get away with their crimes. If she just wanted to end it all she wouldn’t have gone to the extent of trying to hide her own body, especially in the way she was found.

The whole story is just crazy, and even with all the scenarios, to think what happened to that poor girl near her end is terrifying. Its either she's murdered and the body is dumped in the water tower. Or its suicide, which wouldn't be fast by drowning, and likely was alive for a while in there. I just hope she is at peace.

  • @mediii8057

I was so obsessed with this story when it came out. But in the end it turned out to be a culmination of false reports and misinformation between and from law enforcement. In reality the water tank WAS NOT CLOSED. The hotel maintenance manager found the tank open when he went to check it out. She fell into the open tank and drowned. No crazy mystery. She suffered a mental attack because she wasn’t taking her medication, climbed to the roof and fell into the tank and drowned.
It was very cold that night and when people start freezing, mind fog kicks in and people tend to start removing their clothes thinking they’re hot but they’re instead entering hypothermia. She’s not the first person that was found undressed in a cold place where it normally wouldn’t make sense to do that. That combined with the mental breakdown that she was already going through.
She chose to stay at Cecil cause it was really cheap. She also didn’t kick out her roommates. She was behaving really strange and bizarre so they asked to be moved to another room cause she was out of control.

Interesting video, I’ve never heard of this case …. My mom is bipolar , and I’ve learned a lot about this disorder …. Honestly her episodes had similar and different symptoms…. I think one time she said she saw angels flying around …. In 2013 during her stay at a mental hospital she had shock treatment and it really helped her a lot …. Thankfully she has not had an episode since then and her current medication has kept her healthy ….. This is a miserable way to live life and no matter what happened to this young lady , I hope her parents have found peace knowing she’s not suffering anymore and she’s at peace

What frustrates me most as a person with Bipolar Disorder is how much people "don't" understand about it. But I guess unless you have it or know someone it's hard to be invested. For example there are 3 kinds of Bipolar disorder. Bipolar 1 which is a more severe form causing a person to become fully manic(psychosis -thinking they're God, delusions of grandeur, impulsive, completely wreckless decisions, hallucinations etc). This type of BP can also include depression but it depends on the person. Then there is Bipolar 2 which is what I have. Mostly depression with mixed moods of "hypo" mania never going to full psychosis. I am mixed mood rapid cycling which means I can cycle rapidly between moods. However if I am feeling a bit "up" so to speak I may have mild hallucinations. Especially if I stay up late. Then there is Bipolar NOS(Not Otherwise Specified, or Cyclothymia which is when someone exhibits symptoms of Bipolar disorder switching between highs and lows in mood but still can't fully be diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. That all doesn't include any co-existing disorders like anxiety, OCD, PMDD, etc. Any or all of those can wreak havoc on someone that has never been far away from their family and is on their own for the first time in their lives. but also as a person with a mental illness it's our own responsibility to take meds and do the right things. So if she was off her meds and staying up for days on end she could easily have thought something was after her or even thought they I think I'll go for a swim. Poor girl.

My sister was by/polar and was often diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder. She drowned in her bathtub in 2016 coincidentally to this story. I have seen the Netflix documentary and when I watched it, Elisa and her actions in that elevator 100% reminded me of my sister during a manic episode. There were times my sister had left the house only to be found after hours by police in some random office tower or some such place. How she got in we never knew. My thoughts when watching the show were that I could see my sister doing this exact thing. Finding her way into this water tower and not being able to get out. Mental health is an incredible and sometimes sad place for people. Those of us with a sound mind (if that is even possible) will not ever be able to relate.

I suffer from Bipolar I and have taken medication for a decade. There have been numerous times when I have experienced manic or depressive episodes where my behaviour has bordered on psychotic. Sleep patterns can also be disrupted, sometimes for days on end. During these times I have had hallucinations, ie hearing and seeing tings,, and cannot differentiate between reality and fantasy. All though they are rare, they do indeed happen, and if poor Elisa was going through one of these type of episodes, she would be capable of anything. I look at the elevator footage and see someone experiencing a breakdown of some sort. If she thought she was in danger and someone was following her, it would make perfect sense to her to flee and hide where she thought she’d be safe, even in a water tank. It wouldn’t have sounded crazy to her at this time. My thoughts go out to her mum and dad, and I hope they can find some peace in the future.

  • @mkmadrigal
    @mkmadrigal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

As someone who has bipolar disorder, I can confirm you could slip into a state of psychosis if the disorder isn’t properly treated, undiagnosed, or if the person isn’t taking their meds. You can experience hallucinations and hear voices during psychosis. I experienced something similar in 2019. That’s actually what led me to stay at a psych ward where I was properly diagnosed. Sometimes even you are taking your meds, you may not be taking the correct ones. It’s varies from patient to patient. I do know SSRIs don’t typically mesh well with people who struggle with bipolar disorder due to the chemical imbalance in our brains. It’s a bit complicated 😅 I don’t know if anyone has pointed this out already, I apologize if I’m being repetitive, but I hope this helps! 😁 great video!

This case is baffling. I think she was either murdered or she had a supernatural encounter with a nefarious presence. I don't believe that there's anything simple about this and the police often shut down cases because they don't really want to do the heavy work that a complex case requires. People, including police, don't always like to think deeply and want things to be simple. It's easier for murderers to carry the body of a petite young lady up a ladder than it is for said petite young lady to unlock a locked door without a key, pick up a heavy lid to a water tank, take her close off, and put herself in the water tank, and cover up the tank with herself in it. We also have no idea what was really happening in that video. It's always taken out of context because no one truly knows.

The hotel does have a creepy history but i think in this case she was not taking her medication which caused her to behave really bizarre in the elevator and then somehow gain access to the roof in climb into the tank on her own she also was bipolar all those things contributed to her untimely death Rest In Peace Elisa ♥️

@@aaronstiles4338 What? Jump in a tank with all her clothes on and then take them off once she realized she was stuck and had to tred water? Do you know how heavy wet clothes are? They will literally prevent you from floating. It is completely normal for her to have taken her clothes off in the tank so as to help her float and tred water easier. That plus the effect of hypothermia causes people to strip down naked due to the body feeling like its burning up. So her getting to the roof (which wasnt that hard) and jumping in. Leaving the latch open. Then realizing she is stuck and is forced to tred water. Takes her clothes off so its easier for her to tred water and float naturally.

As a person that has seen two ghosts in my life, Heather's theory has merit to me but I really think she had an episode and put herself in the water tank. Perhaps she thought it was a hot tub or jacuzzi in her state of mind- why her clothes were off. It's truly sad, nevertheless.

YOu dont need to be on illegal drugs to see hallucinations, someone who has gone several days without sleep can see things that are not there. We dont know if Elisa's medication included sleep aides. So I am going to go with Scott's theory. We all love a good ghost story, I too would like to lean more towards a supernatural, but simply put the facts here- speak for themselves.

    some things to think about....
she had sand particulate from the rooftop on her clothing (struggle on the roof?)
she had pooling of blood in the rectum (sexual assault?)
she had little fluid in her lungs (inconsistent with a drowning)
more importantly the elevator footage has been intentionally edited to hide something (timestamp has been compromised)

Water tanks got me…she was “off” as shown in the video and with her previous roommates, but the water tanks how she got inside, the removal of clothing, drowning inside of the tank, that makes no sense. Why even go to the roof at all? How did the alarms not go off? No cameras in the hallway she went down to show her going to the roof? Lots of questions and never get the answers to it. Tragic!

However my aunt was 5' nothing and And when her dementia was bad she could push me over. I'm 6' 2 so she had the mint stream who knows if she had been in a bipolar the polar manic episode and was off her meds she could a very well done incredible feats like climb ladder and open the water tank door still, So odd. Terrific video!!!✌

Whos to say she was off her medicine?? She was dead in water for 2 weeks before her Body was found,,how long does medication stay in your system (in water)..after your dead?? Also whos to say she was hallucinating?? How do you know what she was thinking??? The facts are she was in fear of her life hiding from someone,,Why are there no videos of her after leaving the Elevator?? she was last seen on the 14th floor,,she would of had to walk up to the 15th floor to get to the Rooftop...conveniently there are no cameras on those floors?? How would she know there were water tanks to hide in??Why would the water tanks be A better idea then the Elevator?? She only weighed 117 pounds,,not hard to carry her up a ladder and dump her body in the tank.... I think she was killed and dumped in the water tank..A Ghost did not kill her

  • @Liz-cmc313

It's puzzling as to how she even knew there were water tanks up there. How and why were all her clothes off? It would be very hard to remove your clothing when you're immersed in water. I believe in spirits but I think there is more to this story. I think perhaps the custodian lured her to the roof. Thanks for being so respectful, Scott, and hello to Heather.

Excellent you left the water alone. I was screaming through my phone for you guys not to touch it😂🤣😂🤣 Its actually an offering to the water spirit. On its journey through the afterlife it is said ones soul get's thirsty so hence the water (eerily such deaths are usually water deaths like drowning, boat accidents in lakes or rivers etc)🙏🏾🙏🏾 I am actually shocked heather did not know that. It's a major spiritual thing. The equivalent to placing coins over a dead persons eyes so they can pay the ferry toll to get them to their final destination after death... The underworld. Be safe out there!!! Stay blessed!

I'm not being mean, but can you imagine the guests drinking the water from that tank, yuck, they were basically drinking her body gases, discretions, discharges? whatever you want to call it, and she was in the tank roughly 2 weeks, that's scary, I don't know if it would hurt someone to do that, but it couldn't be good for you. It makes a strong case for bottled water, like Evian. something from the Swiss Alps, very far away from downtown L.A.

I don't think it was a ghost. And it looks like she was likely talking to someone outside of the camera's view. And from what I've heard that water tower isn't easy to get to. The average guest would really have no idea it was there or how to access it.

.We need to look out for one another! If you see something strange, report it. I feel this would have had a different end if someone had intervened when her room mates complained! Just a thought people!
