    Hope you enjoyed this simple chewy milk mochi tutorial!
    Just a tip: different microwave ovens work differently and you can microwave at shorter intervals - 30sec and see if the consistency matches the one shown in the video.

    shouldn't the rice flour be toasted before coating the mochi? so that the flour isn't raw and adds a toasted nutty flavour

      hello details are all in the video :) I think i just mixed all ingredients together, sift the mixture into a microwaveable bowl, (please do not use metal in a microwave) and microwave at 20 sec interval until mixture is thick and pliable. Please check the video as this is from my memory and may not be accurate

    I just tried it and it failed ;-; I think it’s cuz of the microwave (I did it the first time and it looked fine but I was stupid and microwaved it again per instruction and it got so hard!) then i proceeded to make it even worse and add more milk to soften it and yeahhh the textures totallly different 😰 I just wanted some mochi 😭😭

    • @TiposHomebakes
      @TiposHomebakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh no!! I am so sorry to hear that :( I think its because different microwave heats differently
      I apologise if I wasn't clear enough in the instructions!!!
      Anyways adding milk will not help because the dough is already cooked, but you can try kneading it with your hands to soften it

      normal mochi as in... boil it?
      sorry if i misunderstand, but instead of a microwave you can steam the mochi ! I think that is the only other alternative so i don't think you can boil it to make dango etc

    It turned out great, tasted like milk mochi! But I figured its only a matter of my taste, that I don't like it 🤣🤣 seems like i don't like the texture of squishy things. Milk mochi itself is just like eating mochi dough for me, even with the added brown sugar it did enhance the taste, but my mochi milk just disgusted me 😥 it was fairly easy to make! But I'm afraid that if I eat more of the one I made, I will have an upset stomach 😭😭
