Great info to share with us. It's always good to change a gas filter at least one time a year. Put painters tape around the hole so less chance of scratches for those who do it themselves. Thanks for sharing with us ✌️
Harley says that's a 100k mile service for that little filter?! YEA RIGHT!! Fuel filters are cheap and a good tutorial like this definitely should be changed sooner.
My 2015 street glide special is having hard time to start, like the throttle body stays open or something. Pops , smells like gas then it starts. Cleaned it, changed air filter and put some seafoam in the tank. Seem to help but the problem came bad. Can it the fuel filter or a sensor.? Any help much appreciated it.
Make sure that the u clip is installed properly and if so. Check every connection in the tank. When you turn the ignition to the on position, you should hear the fuel pump prime.
Lets take the old o-ring off and we will leave the new o-ring in the box so we dont get it confused with the old o-ring. Then installs the old o-ring! This is a what not to do video! 🤔

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was able to change out my fuel filter on my 2015 CVO Street Glide without any issues. I truly appreciate it.
I am happy that you received some value out of my videos

That's why I include that in a 20K service
I need to change the fuel filter on my 18 RG. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching.
You reinstalled the old fuel filter O ring inadvertently. The new one was in the box.
I noticed that as well. I did change it off camera. Mistakes happens when filming and keeping on track of what I am doing.
You were paying attention, I missed that, LOL.
@twobeagles1365 thank you.
great video, definitely adding this to my list of winter projects
Yep that was a quick video but good knowledge Similar tank filter set up on My V Star.
Cool, thanks

If you haven't changed the fuel It would be a good idea to do so. However, it's almost impossible to troubleshoot and diagnose
@@DrHarley thanks
Can I put the assembly back in WITHOUT the filter, and just add a generic one in the fuel line under the apron? Seems like a better way
Seems like an option. However the fuel pressure coming put the the tank is high pressure.
Can you reuse the larger gasket?
The one for the fuel tank? Most of the time, you can. It all depends on the condition of the seal.
Dam Doc, you taking all my ideas. Are you in my head or something, 😂. Was just doing this video for my 2013 SG.
Lol. Do it anyways Nori.
awesome DR, great information
Nice video, only thing i have a problem with is u put the old o ring back on
I did notice that. However I did swap it out off camera.
Awesome, Great videos & good info.
They make a cam wrench for that piece your hammering, but they’re hard to find. Nothing on amaxon or ebay
Yes they almost impossible to find. That's why I use a drift and a hammer.
Caught it after the fact, but great info. Thanx
Thanks. I thought that it could help quite a few people.
That blue cloth towel wiping on the tank makes me cringe. Thanks for the tips.
Very cool
Great, how to thanks.
My pleasure
I change mines with every oil change
My bike won't start after the

I swear you used the old O ring Doc. Isn't the new one still in the box ??
Nope. Believe me, I did not. I swapped it out off the camera.
Thanks for the reply Doc. ML&R
If you are going to hit it with a blunt instrument, use bronze tools. Otherwise, great video.
Bronze is too soft. It will chip apart. I tried that in the past.

I figured it out before I installed the fuel tank. I did remove the old one and replaced it.
You used the old O-Ring….
I realized that after. I did replace it with the new one
Good video. Music was distracting. Id rather listen to you than music.
I agree. I have removed all music from my videos since.
😂😂😂😂 Looks just like mine after 75,000.
That's good to know. I still prefer to replace every 20k miles.
