Dr Perry has made a superb argument for Montessori daycares, schools, and approach. I always tell new parents that any Montessori daycare is better than any non-Montessori daycare, but even among Montessori daycares, there can be a huge range of quality.
I remember the story of one young girl who set her glass of water for lunch on the corner of the table. When it got “accidentally” got knocked off, she would exclaim that she accidentally spilled the water and would happily get the bucket and mop and mop the spill up. When she put the mop back, she would refill the glass and put it back in the same location. She repeated this ritual about twice every lunch time for a week, but never did it again.

45:47 reminded me of a story. I told my son if he did not brush his teeth would fall out. I worked a side job at a gym watching children in a racquetball court that was set up with ball pits and toys for them. A child was there that did not have teeth as he was older and it was natural to loose some. He ran to me and told me that a boy didn't have teeth and he wanted to brush his teeth NOW because he forgot to brush them after breakfast.
